  • Pastor Erick Sorensen details the spread of the gospel in the early church to Gentiles. What were the misunderstandings the early church had about God's kingdom? How does God go about using His apostles to bring the faith to the outsiders?

I have a question Eric for you. Where in the scriptures does God pull out the 10 commandments to call His people to repentance?

The 10 commandments were always in the background of their daily life. Deutronomy, meaning 2nd law, they diligently taught these things to their kids, talked of them when they sat in their house, and when they walked by the way, and when they layed down, and when they rose (Dt 6.7).
The law was written on their hearts. To point out an exact moment is irrelevant, because the Law was constantly before them as it curbed frombursts of sin, revealed sin as a mirror to those places in their lives where they have sinned in thought word and deed, and the law (10 commandments) served as a guide that taught them love their neighbor as themselves.
      Hope this helps.

@@p.t.benzinger2179 wrong. What God wishes to be written on their hearts and ours was and is, his actions of love and deliverance. Even look at v.2 Exodus 20 before the Commandments were given. Exodus 19:4-6. That’s the motivation to follow God’s commands not the Law. As Titus 2:10-11 states “it (the grace of God) teaches us to say no to ungodliness and wickedness.”
The law doesn’t lead hearts to repentance only the history of God’s grace and mercy can do that.
