I'm torn between wanting more for the dragon and wanting this beautiful ending to remain the end of it, much like with the nobleman storyline. Both had fun and great characters, but both also just ended so well.

The swordsman has defeated the dragon... Didn't expect to get hit right in the feels, this is beautiful. Bittersweet also how even when it's only a moment for the dragon, the swordsman experienced all what life could offer. Started from wanting to escape death and ended with a happy couple, for the rest of his life.
As always, I was expecting a joke at the end as usual. A JOKE. Not devastating emotionnal damage. But breaking the usual formula makes it even more effective. Chikatoon is pretty great at storytelling.

This is the storytelling that's subverted here. Yes, the passing of time is a story element that has been used and re used by thousands of authors, may they be classical or modern. Maybe I was not too clear in my initial statement, but you're the one with limited exposure to these great little skits if you can't pinpoint something so basic.

I think a nice thing to keep in mind is that dragons who lay with humans typically develop an affinity for the human race, so its highly likely that she ends up fighting to protect humans while she searches for a worthy opponent after these events, which quite the character growth from when she was killing everything (including humans) in the first part.
This was a really wholesome ending, usually this histories end for the sake of maintaining the main plot interesting, but this one was a amazing sequel
This was really good. He started off a liar to save his own life but ended up with someone that made his life complete until the very end. Great story.

I think the saddest thing is, he probably never got to hear that touching line at the end. Even if he knew it, she never told him. Shes gonna have to live with that knowledge for the rest of her immortal existence. Reminds me kind of that one scene where the guy goes. "I didnt even cry at his funeral! Could you believe that? He was the world to me, and everybody looking at me like I didnt love him! But he knew! ...he had to know, right?"
This remind me to the one short manga written by Sorachi (Gintama author) To make it short, Grandpa ghost can't pass on because he hasn't apologize for eating Grandma's pudding, wanting to make proper goodbye. Only for Grandma to say she already know because they've been together for a long time. Such light mistake not matter, no "final word" necessary, their life together already fill in.
