    This is what I was looking for. No need to knit with the floating yarn like others do. Great tip. Thank you.

      Thank you ☺️ I like to knit in rounds and I so happy that it’s so much easier to add colours to knitting with this technique 💡

    Hi Iluliia, this is very clear to me. But what to do if the design at the edge jumps a few stitches? (For example a big flower design) Do you use the same procedure? Tnx for your help! Dona (from Belgium)

      Hello from Canada 🍁 🇨🇦
      That’s a great question. Frankly, I haven’t use intarsia for complicated patterns like the one you are describing. However, I used one more intarsia technique (different than the one in this video) when you use a loop from yarn to knit. I’m wondering if that technique would work. I’ll look for the link to the video I followed for it and send it to you!
      Good luck with your projects ☺️

    Thank you so much, it's ingenious! Do you have any tips for increasing and decreasing colors instead of just doing blocks of color?

      Thank you so much! I'm glad you liket the tip))))
      I think it would be better to show on how to add or remove colours then try to describ on how to do that. I'll try to make a video on how I do that.

      Just wondering…: up till now I knitted my sweater in the round, stockinette stich, always « knit », no « purl ». If I make the intasia now, back and forth, will the tension be the same, won’t you see the difference in tension? Do you have experience in this? Xx Dona

    • @iuliiacraft
      @iuliiacraft  3 месяца назад

      Yeah, my tension is usually affected. I switch my left needle to a one size smaller needle (interchangeable needles) for purl rows. It helps me to keep the same tension.

    Could you avoid the switching of the needles of if you had two set of needles of the same size???

    • @iuliiacraft
      @iuliiacraft  2 года назад +4

      Yes, I think you can use two pairs of knitting needles. I just had one pair of that size needles at that time and my needles are interchangeable

    Включите, пожалуйста титры с переводом. Ничего не понятно. По 2 ряда вязать надо? 🙂☘️

    What kind of yarn did you use?

    • @iuliiacraft
      @iuliiacraft  Год назад

      I’m using a mix of angora and merino wool.
      One string of angora yarn (80% angora, 20% nylon 25g/125m
      Two strings of 100% merino wool 100g/1400m

    In this example, you are only using one ball of each colour, is that right?

    • @Nicola_Torrington
      @Nicola_Torrington 3 года назад +1

      I'm asking, because I don't see where you cross 2 ball of the same colour. Thanks

    • @iuliiacraft

      Hi 👋🏻
      Yes, I’m using one ball of yarn of each colour

    • @iuliiacraft
      @iuliiacraft  3 года назад +2

      I’m knitting on the wright and wrong sides of the work (write side-knits, wrong-purls) using one ball of the same colour. I’m crossing only these two different colours. In these way I create joining and continue maintaining round knitting (knitting without seams)
      🙂
