    Hii, one question...
    Why is it that when we calculate vat, one time we multiply by 1.14 when adding vat and then the next we multiply by 14/100...
    In this case it was 14% that's why I'm asking. It's all very confusing coz then I feel like I don't know how to calculate vat! 😢😢😭

      It depends on what the question is asking you. Do you want an amount including VAT, or an amount excluding VAT. If you are clear on that and follow my method you should be fine

      @@distancelearningwithlee if we wanna add vat don't we multiply by 1.14 and when we exclude vat don't we divide by 1.14?
      When do we need to do multiple by 14/100? Because if I do it my way, I never get the same answer

      Hey it works both ways the simplest way is when we use the 1'14 method depending on the vat .
      Let me make an example so that you can understand.
      800 × 1,14
      =912
      800 ×14%
      =112
      * 800+ 112
      912

      @@NandiphaSibiya Ohhh tysm I was so confused!

      @@NandiphaSibiya But in this video when she had to calculated including vat she just used the 14% method without doing any of that...
      So how would I know when to use 1.14 and when to use 14/100?
      When they tell us to include vat?
