Am doing grade12 and l just watched your video and am struggling with maths so l say A big thank you for making me understand better l wish you all the best and l hope l will obtain good results thank you
Hey let me start by thanking you for your lessons they are too much helpful. For question 1.3 i found the same answer but different method and am not sure if my method will be acceptable in the examination. 1.3 Sub-total due - Total of vat amount of electricity used in november. R181.01-R22.23 =R158.78 Thats how i did it
Hi Tiisetso thank you for engaging with the lesson.🌺🌺🌺 The important point here is showing how the subtotal was calculated, by using the electricity consumption details as well as the Tarrif details given to us. Your answer is correct because you have taken the total due - 14% VAT=Sub total so you understand the process of getting to the total and also working backwards to get to the sub-total, but in this question what's important was working with the electricity consumption details as well as the Tarrif to get our answer because they've specifically asked you to "SHOW" how the municipality got to the price of R158.78 and in this case you haven't shown that so your answer would be incorrect.
The first issue that I am noticing is that you are not really reading for understanding. I mentioned that it depends if you are calculating an amount including vat or an amount excluding VAT. Secondly do you understand where that 1.14 comes from and what it means? Lastly if you are confused consider joining my online classes we are starting on the 2nd of March.
😭You need to get paid for teaching me what my teacher never taught me. A big thank you to you!!!!!
