Nice to see the metal table back like you used to have in your videos. The Ford is looking awesome, can’t wait to see it finished

Definitely starting to take shape now tom. Will definitely be a great achievement once it is all finished.

Top tip......put your coffee on a rag or block of wood. The metal bench absorbs the heat of the cup and cools it down quicker. You can thank me later 👌

This could well be the best advice I’ve been given on here. Hmmm I could make a wooden holder for the mug! Now I’m thinking

@@dirt_and_diesel i once as a lowly yts apprentice got my knuckles rapped with a shifter by the grumpy farmer coz I'd left his coffee on the metal vice🤣
      Lesson learned rapidly 🤣

Could always glue some cork mat to bottom of the cup 😂

The air cleaner on this 8700 looks very similar to the later TW10, when I was a kid we had both the TW10 & TW20 and the TW20 air cleaner was much bigger than the TW10. I wonder will the 8700 air cleaner be up for the job with this bigger engine?
      Loving the videos

Good progress there. Did u look into using a taper lock Bush for the pump? Something like a 1008 or 1108. available from local bearing and power transmission companies. If u get one to suit the shaft, u can then machine the gear to suit.

It’s in with someone to machine the centre out of the new gear and the teeth off the old one and put the core of the old one in. He’s pretty savvy with that stuff so I’ve left it with him
