    Great video brother - I am also an IBKR partner. I love using conditional orders on options triggers. One trick I do is getting SPY options based on FUTURES levels. Would love to do a collab if interested on my channel. Take care!

    In future IBKR when we place limit order do we require to use condition.
    if we don’t go with condition- the limit order will be submitted or no.
    Please advise.

      It is not required to use conditions for basic order placement on futures.

    thanks Chris for the instruction, would be interesting when you have a conditional close order in place in non future options and overnight the market dumps bigger than you conditional close order ?

      @VerrilloTrading  2 месяца назад +1

      Happy to help. You need to be a bit more specific. Is this a stop order type? If the conditions are true order is marketable upon the market opening, it should trigger.

    • @chrisschopenhauer6261
      @chrisschopenhauer6261 2 месяца назад +1

      yes what I meant a conditional price close order - more or less a stop order but when it dumps overnight under that certain price your price condition will be ignored because the market isnt open for standard stock options and you have to reconsider after the market opens the next morning session thats my guess at least.

    • @VerrilloTrading
      @VerrilloTrading  2 месяца назад

      @chrisschopenhauer6261 no matter the market. The condition triggers an order and if the market is not open, the order cannot be sent until it is.

      @@VerrilloTrading in case the conditional option close order pricewise is already done 1 day prior set and forget stays overnight - and during that time the market gapped under that certain cond. close price - so the next day youre screwed.

    Hi Chris, is it possible to preset conditional order in TWS (such as underlying, order type as "Market" for stop loss and target)?

    • @VerrilloTrading
      @VerrilloTrading  2 месяца назад

      No this is not supported without writing a custom implementation.

      Let's say you are already in a position (as a day trader). Can't you just set to market order to close the position if it hits underlying stop loss price OR profit target price?

    Hello,
    I have a question about Sierra Chart data. I want to know if we purchase data from the COMEX or other CME exchanges through Sierra Chart at the cost of $140 separately, will we still receive the chart with a 10-minute and 10-second delay on Sierra Chart, or will it be in real-time?
    Because someone said if we don't connect a futures account to Sierra Chart, we can't receive real-time data. Do we definitely need a futures account for real-time data?
    I would appreciate it if you could explain this.
    Thank you

    • @VerrilloTrading
      @VerrilloTrading  2 месяца назад

      You definitely do need a live trading account to receive live futures data from Sierra Chart. This is a requirement for some exchanges like CME group.

    Why doesn't IBKR allow bracket sell orders on already established positions? This sucks so much

    • @VerrilloTrading
      @VerrilloTrading  2 месяца назад +1

      @@r.f.9872 you can attach an OCO bracket order to an already existing position. It’s on TWS and IBKR mobile, and probably the others.

      @@VerrilloTrading I know you can on TWS, but on mobile, the only option I have for a long option is to attach a bracket order to rebuy after the sell executes. What I mean is to have a stop limit and a target sell order on an already existing position. Can't find that on mobile
