What a fun TBR! I’m hoping to read Tastes Like Candy 2 in June as well! 💜🍭🍬💀 Kin is one of my all-time favorites!!! I hope you enjoy it as much as I did! 🖤 Adding Z Shark to my list. 🦈 🤠🔪
Summer is a great time for coming-of-age stories. Since we're going for all the unhinged shenanigans, maybe I should finally get to a Richard Laymon book and read The Woods Are Dark -- but I probably won't🤣 This readathon is going to be so much fun!
I’m so excited for this readathon! I also have high hopes for The Woods Are Dark. Im so here for an unhinged crunk drunk commentary. I hope you like Red Rabbit.. it was a good one. I’ve got True Grit on my list for June as well. Unhinged for eva! 🦈🔪
Thanks!!! These were my first and i think 4th audiobooks i ever did so heads up i was a bit insecure still finding my rhythym and hadnt started setting music and stuff for ambiance. I enjoyed church of the divine psychopath but hell lake is strange as heck lol I think it was a non jason book the author added jason to to get it published 😆 im actually planning on redoing my narrations of the first 7-10 audiobooks in the "not too distant future" I also wrote an original Friday The 13th short book and recorded it on the channel called Friday The 13th Quarantine it takes place during a zombie Apocalypse and Im currently writing and narrating a full novel called Celestial Slumber A Nightmare On Elm Street Story its essentially Freddy in Space but its not as campy as you'd think. Great list of books!! Keep up the good work!!
Yes! I love slashers, coming-of-age, and shark media (books and movies) during the summer, too. Your TBR is awesome! I love how diverse your choices are. I am trying to read outside the box more, so to speak, and I am definitely finding more subgenres that I enjoy. I still need to read the Kill River Books and Taste Like Candy, parts 1 & 2. I was not a fan of Night Film. It takes a tonal shift I did not care for, but I seem to be in the minority on that, so I hope you like it. Adding Scab and Z Shark to my TBR right now! Lol! They could be terrible, and I will still kind of enjoy them. I just love killer shark books and movie.
Great list of books! Thank you for the mention. The Feeding was small town. Night Film was also really good! I gave it 5 stars. I was fully immersed in that mystery. It’s a chunky book but worth the time. It’s mostly taking place in lower Manhattan but there are other settings within it. This readathon sounds so fun! I’ll see if I have some books for it!
I can't wait for this readathon! So fun!! Ill be reading my first Laymie 😊 (The Woods are Dark) and Camp Damascus for sure. Nothing wrong with having a big pile of options, then you can still mood read!🔪 Oh and in case you need another option haha, Lone Women by Victor Lavalle is a fun western horror
🖤💚🗡Camp Damascus is also on my TBR for June. Hmu if you wanna buddy up! I'm reading Bury Your Gays now and it's fantastic! 🗡💚🖤 MEG was fun. The sequel was boring af. 😂

I’m so excited to host your book club with you. We need more coming of age girls stories!! And I also can’t wait for all of the patreon shenanigans!!

Also; thanks for introducing me to Slash Trax.
So excited for the readathon. So many great books and movies perfect for summer. Wow, 30 books. I am glad I am not the only one that gets optimistic.
Lost Man's Lane by Scott Carson. This one is gonna win major awards with good reason. Definitely ticks the coming-of-age box.
Thanks so much - I love book suggestions! I added this book to my list of potential books to read this summer!
I loved Night Film. It was really good. If you do read it, I’d be excited to hear your thoughts about it.
I haven't read it yet! But still hoping to get to it before the year ends!
Are those earrings from Lost?
Yes!!!
I'm actually reading Laymon's In the Dark. Love it so far!
I'm glad you're having fun with the Laymon you're reading! I almost always have fun with his books (with a few exceptions here and there haha)
