When the story continue she will be discovering his good side that she never seen and get to know him more . I really like pei yan eyes ,there is just something about them and that stabbing scene really prove who he is and what he is willing to do to keep her , when he said that story to the king i started laughing🤣🤣🤣

They are not my idea of what a mother should be. There should be mutual respect and love but she has no respect or love for her son in my opinion. She only sees him as a tool to use in her schemes. She has been abusing him since he was a child. She had trained him so hard and I think that is why the emperor took him to use. Probably her plan all along. He has very little mind of his own. Ci must be the first female he has given any thought to. It would be dangerous for any female he likes since the mother won't have it. She wants to have total control and obedience from him and if he is fond of someone else she will use it against him or kill the person.
