The hardest working man on the tube, sick but keeps on going. A true testament as said to what a man can do if he stays focused, and of course be you!! Before long there will be a very large following of your channel my friend. I can not hardly wait to see this bad boy complete.
When you die, you can t take it with you. That's the contribution right there. Just like all other creations. Paying it forward doesn't always need to keep to a timeframe.
Well done mate. You've put so much work into it. Builds like this often have a team working, but you have done most of it single handed. It's a testament to your fortitude. Bloody good stuff.
This is where i am at!!! You are amazing. I actually cannot wait for yous guys to have some home comforts. So..while I'm all snuggled up an watching you....I'm wishing you best ever wishes for an exceptional build. Xxx
Kris, you are the fucking man. congratufuckinglations. This is approximately when i started watching and I said to myself "this will fail" but you proved me wrong and I'm still watching, waiting for you to fick up. But you don't. 3 years later you are still crushing it, getting it done, doing something awesome. You're an insparation. Thank you for posting these videos. Please keep them coming. -AP
This is my first visit to your project. Agree about longer overhangs. Built a home back in the early 90's with a 3 foot overhang. Well worth the added materials.
I'm a new sub and have spent a couple of days catching up . Haven't read the comments so I could be repeating other posts . If there is a word to describe what I have been watching it would be Brilliant , absolutely Brilliant .
Kris I am 14 years old and you are the biggest inspiration.Iv watched every single one of your videos and every video is great you just keep pushing even though you are doing the same thing and I know it must get boring but you just never stop,You aren't just an inspiration to build a house off grid, your an inspiration in life.
Watching these series as an adult and a parent, it's always interesting to me when young people comment. This was 3 years ago, what are you up to now, Ari? Are you still interested in this kind of thing? Do you have plans?
I've been a builder for many years and have seen quite a fair bit of sheds. The plans in ryan's package ruclips.net/user/postUgkxB7IXYxLzb_Ichhe45zM3Im5xfEiSp9vB have some of the nicest looking sheds i've seen in a while.
Man I am inspired. I like that you can build it any shape when you use this method. I have a youtube channel myself for outdoors and forestry and spend a lot of time on youtube and I must say this is a great movie. thanks for sharing.
I just ran across your documentary...I am planning on building a log home in the near future and was scanning the web for techniques; both creative and time-tested (I have 15 more videos of yours to watch). What an amazing thing you've done. I can see the amount of work you've put into your nearly-completed cabin; but, I think it might be worth it once you've finished the project. In fact, with the understanding of the difficulty you have had, I am thinking to do the same process (with some modifications I can envision only because of your trial and error). No matter what, thank you for the work and effort you are sharing freely - I wish I could send you a case of beer or a bottle of spirits or something of the sort to help you get it done. Thank you again and best of luck with the completion of your project.
Really looking good, your so close to finishing bet you cannot wait until there are no more log to set or cob to make. I am so impressed with your work. 😀
Its looking AWESOME!!! Great work, ive been here from the start and now can't wait to see the finish. Can't wait to see the technical side of the build too.
Man ...you have that IT factor going on Mr. Just stumbled on to your build and ..hey I am sure I can not throw any complement at you that you haven't already heard. I live in an area called the Upper Peninsula of Michigan along Lake Superior .In this area there are old Barns ...large barns built of White Cedar cord wood that have lasted along time. I have a need for a small barn for our horses and had given the old cedar cord wood construction some thought. After watching a small portion of your build it look's like that just may be the method of build I will choose. Hats of to your drive
watched this grow from the ground it has been fascinating to see it progress. and now the end of the construction gets near. as you say so close now. keep going keep filming cant wait for the next video. Thanks for sharing.
im looking forward to be able to fim something different for you guys. these walls have taken way longer than expected. but they are close now. next job is wireing, plumbing, then floor.
Could be just me, but how awesome is a half finished wall!? It produces a panoramic window space with an uneven rustic charm that opens up into nature. You just need to get a huge piece of glass to seal it off from the elements. You could even recycle a broken pane and line up the jagged edge with the logs comprising the window sill. Or, if using new materials, overlap sections of the glass with cob and/or a shortened end of a log to give the illusion of glass contoured to the opening.
Such hard work .. He needs pampering with a hot shower, a nice meal, a couple of Advil or simular, a soothing massage, and a good night's sleep .. Blessings to this and all hard working men and women ...Let them sleep peacefully ❣
I'm now up to date with all your work. Great job fella, great dedication and skills. I'm blown away by your reasons for doing this and your principles. Really looking forward to the next video.
I really really like this concept of using short logs as building materials. Since my planned build will likely be erected without much assistance, this will really work for me.
Brilliant! I found you yesterday and have watch your videos up to here. I love your roof construction and wish you would a video explaining how you built it. Your house is charming like something out of a fairytale.
Because trees are porous and laid like this rain is just going to wick through unless treated on the outside. Or you can just have the logs pointing slightly down and out. Otherwise you will constantly be fighting damp..
Not true, the logs dont get wet when it rains and wood does not act like that, it takes a long time for water to move through wood and in this orientation the wood can breath and dry. if it was treated on the outside it would not breath and would rot.
Just had your vlog pop up , I think because I’ve been looking at tiny homes. Long story but built my log home. Now starting over on off grid property. Really like what your doing. Helped a friend do something similar with wine bottles. What will you use to treat the exterior but ends of logs to prevent rot ? Don’t worry about wind or scratch on camera ! Your vids are brilliant ! Good on ya mate ! Going to go back and watch all your vids. Man, I just love what your doing. Watched this vid twice. !!
Massive respect!I'm working on much smaller projects with cob (experiment with mixtures) and I know how much work and energy is put into it. House already looks amazing. All the best and thanks for sharing :-)

I just found this video and I'm about binge watch this and steal your beautiful house plans for my own
if your tent leaks just sleep in the house, it has a roof and 90% of the walls. it will be as wet as in the tent only no leaky roof.
Just found your channel. You’re a really hard worker! It looks like a very daunting job, I admire the way you’ve just got ‘stuck in’. Well done.....

That's beautiful.
Just subbed. WOW what hard work you have put into this. Great job !
Thumbs up... ENJOY... THE SIMPLE LIFE
It's always dark, gloomy, windy and rainy in Wales. We like it like that as it keeps most of the English out. Lol.
+Big Pete calm down there big Pete. Plenty of sheep to go around!
Coming over here taking all our ewes.
should IMO put a few large glass water bottles in the walls for light/deco/planter/bird house/shelving ect. Unless this is a purest project.
awesome job lot of hard work

Man, I just love what your doing. Watched this vid twice. !!
exellent job,i love it!!!!!
Beautiful. Hope it does well in the winter.
thanks you, i think it will be just fine but time will tell.
I hope wood will not dry and shrink, leaving nasty cracks. Log buildings shrink as they dry, leaving no cracks. This approach is different…
hu cute clay mud and yes clumping cat litter mix all together it works well
Massive respect!I'm working on much smaller projects with cob (experiment with mixtures) and I know how much work and energy is put into it. House already looks amazing. All the best and thanks for sharing :-)
this is absolutly amazing :D
What a nice way to recycle trees!
You are AMAZING. Very talented man! It looks beautiful and structurally sound. Had to subscribe! :-)
Beautiful👍👍
