exactly, banpresto is the same company that made SRW; hence why we see this nice roster of mixed mechs. so you pilot the mech and use all of its known anime abilities: you can play the difference between a gundam and the skull one from macross. its got lock on cursors and of course each mech has its own advantages and unique weaponry. each weapon has a stock amount and interchange on the fly, and the the best part is the combination attack with similar or different anime mechs.
well technically yes and no, you can choose whatever mech you want to fight another mech in the battle mode, but they don't fight each other in part of the story line. in the story line as you progress the other mechs show up and add themselves to your team, and you can choose which one to play a mission with. but the point is they all work together
@jesusinflames666 its called Another Century Episode 3 or ACE 3. This game doesnt seem like it going to hit the states so your best bet is to order it on play-asia and import it. or find a other place to import.
I'd like to point out that the Strike Freedom's Super D.R.A.G.O.O.N.S are mostly operated by computers rather than Mental. It was based off of the Legend's D.R.A.G.O.O.N.S; which were developed so that any pilot without enhanced mental and spatial awareness could operate them no problem. My point is, the ZERO System can easily predict how the D.R.A.G.O.O.N.S. move. And if Mobile Dolls were so easy to predict, then how come everyone had to upgrade their gundams just to keep up with them? >_>
If you're trying to still defend the DRAGOONs here, it's stated that the Legend's DRAGOONs were improved so that anyone can use them effectively instead of someone who has enhanced spatial awareness; I.E. Rau and Mu. And this is exactly why the Strike Freedom's DRAGOONs have this system as well, because this was the very first time Kira ever used Remote Weapons. The main reason why they're listed as Quantum Controlled was because Morosawa tried to be cute with Kira's supposed "Newtype Flash".
@Tysugan I have a store that you can buy it from called "Video Game All", but before you buy it...do you have a Slide Tool or Flip-Top to use with the Swap Magic? Those two things are the only way to get the swap magic to work properly.
So you're trying to tell me that during the Buster Dance, SF is just going to tell its Dragoons to stay still? There's a large possibility for it to be able to evade the spinning move that's only a 360., Easily evaded by just moving upwards. Also the ZERO system, it gives predictions that lead to total victory or total defeat. So a 50-50 chance. The mobile dolls were robots, with AI's, easier to predict for AI's go for the efficient solution all the time, SF has a genetically modified human.
Proportionally if you consider the mooks to the gundam, then yes it is. According to Heirarchy, it is much lower, being beaten out by almost all of the other timelines (It ties with early to mid UC). This is already considering the UC timeline is still ongoing and spanning for a long period of time so its either better or worse than the Seed timeline in certain areas. But FC, CC, AD and AW all have technology that outstrips CE.
There are 3 A.C.E games they're kind of a robot mashup series with stories and scenarios lifted from diff series not just Gundam. Strike Freedom isn't in it nor is the destiny. The game is more technical than the arcade ones but this third game has the best control layout so you should try this one first.
bro its the only game out there that has been able to make gundam playing actually fun, not too lax or not too technical. based as a simulator game, its really fun and the story lines change per story. they usually use the stories of 2-3 animes and merge them together, the rest of the mechs are supporting characters. in this case its gundam x and euerka 7
Yeah - that is the same reason why only the Original Generation Super Robot Wars games have been brought to the U.S. I had an acquaintance who had one of the ACE games on his computer - I am not sure how he did it. Must have been one of those things where you create a copy of the game as an image file and used Daemon Tools to run it.

Granted the Freedom could have taken them out in a single shot but that would mean the designer would have to reset all of the values and it wouldn't make much of a game then.
Well, I looked in the Wing episodes. After re-watching the subs and dubs everyone had to upgrade because the Dolls were unexpected enemies and the pilots weren't prepared. The Gundam pilots all were facing machines with greater reaction speeds in space might I add. The Gundams weren't modified for space combat, leading to all to them being destroyed. What else do I not seem to be understanding here? I've been a Gundam fan for 10 years, not as long as you of course but enough for an argument.
@joachimarmster1 I like both the Freedom AND the Strike Freedom. You can't exactly say the Strike Freedom sucks though, in statistics, it beats out the Freedom in EVERYTHING. Appearence is a toos up but a Gundam can't "suck" based on appearence alone.

@farisoct Well, no, I have the 1/100 Model for Freedom and Destiny. Indeed there are thrusters for the Destiny but none for the Freedom :/. It can only spread that strange blue light and orange particles but it has only one main back thruster.

Correction, the EXIA can take it down. Technically, if you are going by order of chronology, Exia is already a 3rd generation suit (Freedom is a second generation). 00 is overkill even for SF.
What bugs me in this game is when he's using his thruster to make a "boost", he spreads his wings and fly thanks to them but there are no boosters in those wings so technically, he couldn't be flying... He uses only his back thruster when he's rushing. In original gundam games and in the anime, he spread them just for the style but they have no impact on speed whatsoever. I think it makes it looks weird
I know this is 13y ago but: High Mobility Aerial Tactics (HiMAT) Mode The atmospheric flight configuration of the Freedom Gundam, in which its wings are unfolded for higher maneuverability. The Freedom Gundam is capable of flight even in its normal mode, but this form is better suited for aerial dogfighting. HiMAT mode can also be used in space whereby it enhances the Freedom Gundam's AMBAC capabilities. So yea, spreading the wing aren’t just for “style”

And the new version of DRAGOONS where everyone can use is stated to be more effective with greater spatial awareness. So can the ZERO system predict minds? Possibly, but then its down to possibilities, which will probably be near infinite. Oh, and I need to rewatch Wing. XD
My only problem with ACE 3 is that they got Realize instead of something _good_ for Freedom and Justice's theme. Then again, they also chose 50 seconds of "My Boyfriend is a Pilot" for Macross in this one, so I guess it can't be helped...
They need to make a gundam wing game like this. Exept it's not only gundam fighting. Like run around on foot and blow up nucliar bases then jump into Wing Zero and fuck things up from the outside to. To me that would be the greatest game of all time.

I loved Dynasty Warrors Gundam 2 so much I beat it 100%. All Achievements, All Gundams, All Rank 4 parts max power, all 40 characters lvl 50 all missions complete with all characters (Including the added download missions) , all liscences with every character, all skills with every character, and all people in friendship with every character. It's not hard, just takes time to do.

Deploying a shield decreases the amount of damage you take by a percentage. The effect isn't really noticable until you eat a powerful attack.
I have never seen a more beautifully rendered Freedom in my life.

Have you played gundam vs gundam? It's just like renpou vs zaft but alot more exciting, the gundams are actually very unique with their abilities.

I am a big fan of God and Wing Zero (Zero custom as well, but TBR isnt stored there.) but freedom is quite awesome!
