As someone rightly said , we won the biggest Oscar way back in 1992 and that Honorary award is still unmatchable ❤️

Who is we? Satyajit Ray won it, not anyone else. The only people who also deserve to be mentioned are the cast and crew he worked with.

Mr. Ray one of the earliest Indian pioneers o filmmaking. His filmography still makes our eyes wide open with the awe of him making so artistically and technically wonderful pieces of Cinema in an age where shooting a 15-second motion image was also a far-thought for many. His thought and visions through which he contributed so much to our country will always be remembered and revered in the pages of the Indian history with diamond letters. May the great soul of his rest in peace.

Now no body see this type of movie..... But that time a great day of our society.
    अब कोई भी इस तरह की फिल्म नहीं देखता... लेकिन वह समय हमारे समाज का एक महान दिन था।

This analysis is very accurate . Each and every cinema made by Satyajit Ray contains so many details , and as you go on pointing them one after another , the more amazed you are . Even if Ray made films based on novels of other writers , he left a mark of his own in the film . For me , Satyajit Ray is the greatest story teller of all times , his art is timeless ❤️

I loved the way you told about yourself through Satyajit Ray films. From counting on to each and every partcularities, I believe we can together bring cinema to the brink of community discussion. The filmmaker was undoubtedly, way ahead of us and this is the reason he is still relevant today for disorganised generation like us. We should see film the way we yearn our life to be. Being a part of such cinematic universe is magical.

Classic bengali films shouldn't even be called Indian cinema since it would come with the disgusting connotation with bollywood. The 1950s-1960s bengali films were more like ffench romances and noirs, and those classic directors like Ray and Ghatak were the last fruits of the "bengal renaissance" that was brought about by the British rule in the 19th century.
