    I can’t believe the negative comments. Your arrangement was lovely and I learned so much. No wonder florist charge so much. Their art is time consuming and expensive 🌹❤️

    What I do to help with turning around the piece as I work I place my saddle on a large lazy Susan. This makes it so much easier to turn around so you can see all sides when needed.

    I love the way you mixed lots of different types of greenery. It looks very natural and not so structured like a lot I’ve seen. I learned lots of new tips. I love the soft fern over the rose. 💐

    That is absolutely gorgeous. The peachy cream roses look perfect. I am making one for my son’s grave and I know how long it takes to make a really nice one. I like the extra wide width of that saddle. I could only find the narrower one but it does the job.

    Thank you! My father and husband are side by side at our cemetery... Never knew what these grave toppers were called.
    I would like to make a matching set for both of their monuments
    May I ask if there is any chance of damage or discoloration to the monument?
    Question #2 It is extremely windy and I was wondering if they would stay secure?
    Thank you and your creation is lovely. Thank you for taking the time to walk us through step by step. God bless you 🙂

      Mimi’s MEGA LIFE - thank you so very much for your sweet kind words.No damage or discoloration to the monument. As far as the wind goes there are weights that are sold to hold the saddle to the monument w/out damage as well. I will find the link and leave it in a follow up comment here for you as well. God bless you as well😊

    How do you know where to place the greenery? How to know where to stagger them.

    • @petalsandpaintdesigns
      @petalsandpaintdesigns  8 месяцев назад

      Such a great question - you want to do your best to cover the majority of your base. I would do a rough layout of where I thought my florals would go. If you have holes once you are done you can always go back and fill in. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment.

    Where do you get the "picks"?

    • @petalsandpaintdesigns
      @petalsandpaintdesigns  4 года назад

      Hi there Liz, by "picks" are you referring to the ones used with the stemming pic machine: www.hobbylobby.com/Floral-Wedding/Floral-Supplies/Wire-Tools/Steel-Floral-Picks/p/5231
      Or are you referring to a wooden pick that you can use to extend your florals and help attach something to your piece if so, here is an example, most craft stores and even dollar tree typically sell these. I know Amazon carries them as well: www.michaels.com/6in-wired-wood-picks-by-ashland/10302745.html
      I hope this answered your question ~ if not, let me know. Thanks for watching and for asking the question as I am sure there are others wondering the very same thing ~ if you give this a try let me know, I'd love to see your creation :)

    How is the saddle attached to the headstone? Very beautiful arrangement!!

    • @petalsandpaintdesigns
      @petalsandpaintdesigns  3 года назад +2

      Hello Louise the saddle itself has ribbed attachments on it but if you are looking for a more permanent solution Graveside Flowers sells a product that will anchor your flowers to a headstone in a way that is completely hidden from view, won't damage the stone, will hold up to a strong wind, is made from aluminum, so it won't rust...and doesn't cost that much more than a roll of duct tape. This innovative headstone flower arrangement anchor (pictured to the right) retails for $14.99 and makes a perfect, and permanent, solution to the problem of securing flowers on top of a grave marker. It can be found here: www.gravesideflowers.com/products/headstone-anchor
