Oh my gosh, I just made the MOST beautiful saddle bow with flag-motif ribbon for my late father. What I've been doing wrong all these years is making the bow last. Using this technique, the saddle I just finished is the best one I've ever made! Thank you so much!!!

What I do to help with turning around the piece as I work I place my saddle on a large lazy Susan. This makes it so much easier to turn around so you can see all sides when needed.

If you had put glue on the wooden stick that you had attached to the ribbon and inserted it you would not have to be using all those green pins

I don't use Oasis Oasis is for fresh flowers Sahara or styrofoam is for silk flowers I glue everything in in case it's windy and everything that it doesn't come apart.

I love the way you mixed lots of different types of greenery. It looks very natural and not so structured like a lot I’ve seen. I learned lots of new tips. I love the soft fern over the rose. 💐

I've found if you spray scotch guard on your arrangements they won't fade and they will turn water. Arrangement is very beautiful.

The thing you said you use for fresh flowers that's all bundled together I can't really see that looks like what we have is bundled that happens to be the Sahara. Because Oasis will have a bunch of pinholes on one side so it has the capabilities to soak up the water. But what you showed in that package and I didn't get a close-up look at that package it looks like what we use for silk flowers. Cuz Oasis has a bunch of pinholes in it so it can soak up the water

You wouldn't use Oasis anyhow because it's for fresh flowers it's not for silk flowers. You could use Sahara which is what you show in a package there I do believe that Sahara for silk flowers but. For cemetery pieces what you're using is styrofoam styrofoam is what you want to use

That is absolutely gorgeous. The peachy cream roses look perfect. I am making one for my son’s grave and I know how long it takes to make a really nice one. I like the extra wide width of that saddle. I could only find the narrower one but it does the job.

I would like to make a matching set for both of their monuments May I ask if there is any chance of damage or discoloration to the monument?
