I’m so sorry to hear of your experience. I purchased my Megahorn III a little over two years ago, and my Winnerdell stove, and both arrived inside of a month. I think they have gone under, and you must have placed your order when they were in the process of going under. At least you have a good tent; I hope you will enjoy it in good health. Thank you for your gentle warning to the rest of us. Be safe, and enjoy the forest.

Yeah, I think you are correct, I bought mine at the end of their loop and like you said, I have a fun tent, and since I bought the winter well stove for mine later on in the year, I am set up. I will go on to say, I did buy a springboard classic jack this year and love love love it, I can set it up by myself as well and it worked out great for my two week camping trip back to Oklahoma earlier this month. Thanks again for taking the time to watch and comment and I hope you have a blessed week.

it is an awesome tent, I was mainly needing a tent I can set up by myself, and I am not sure if that is possible with the Kodiak, I have looked at them, you have a much better tent that this, no doubt in my mind about that. I should have just got one of those. Thank you for taking the time to watch and comment.

I have a Mini Peak XL, a Megahorn XL and a collapsible stove (I'm happy with the products). I started seeing issues with their customer service a few years ago but I've gotten all my products. I think that supply chain has been the main issue. I really wanted their trekking/tent pole adaptor and just was never available.

Yes sir. I was very patient with them and figured it was supply chain as well. We are approaching two years and I still have t received my stove. I understand there is another luxe dealer here in the US now and it’s doing better?

Luxe Hiking Gear was a reseller out of Forks, WA that has now apparently gone away. Luxe Outdoors is the manufacturer of this gear out of the UK, who now apparently have started working with Three Ridges Gear Co out of VA as the US distributor. I'm not associated with any of these folks other than I've owned a Minipeak XL and stove for several years. I've only put all this together recently, because I was back in WA state and wanted to pick up a Megahorn, only to discover all the drama. Don't write off Luxe Tents just because LHG dropped the ball and it's a shame that one retailer (who represented themselves as the manufacturer) has thrown a deep shadow over a good budget product.

Oh I so agree. The company who sold this to me was the issue. They did it to several folks. I like you think it’s possible the new company may be best. I have a new tent now and it’s a hair different but this one still has a use. Thank you for taking the time to watch and comment and share this with us all. I hope you have a blessed week.

@@debb4099 No id did not. I never got my stove or the money back. I ended up buying a stove from Winnerwell and I love it. I am sorry to say, this company got me and I made this video so it would not happen to others. I understand stuff happens and accidents happen, I felt like giving them a full year to make it right was way more than fair with this company. I do believe there is another dealer here in the US who is selling them since this company I purchased from was doing people wrong. I dont know the name of that company because I would never buy anything from them again. I liked the idea of this tent, however I have gone another route with the tent as well and am currently in a Spring Bar tent. It is so nice. I only wish I had purchased it first, since this company took so much money from me.

I bought the Luxe Megahorn XL at the end of Feb in 2022 as well and had lots of issues with them during the process until I got my tent. There customer service was absolutely awful and non existent. Generic or non-personal email responses regarding my purchase as well as questions regarding the product. This was my most regretted purchase for the year of 2022.... The tent is super basic and lackluster for the price. The only good thing it has going for it is its size, which was able to fit my 4 kids and myself. Save your money and look at a POMOLY tent or stove.

I have the megahorn xl too, and ordered it on sale, and it took months for it to arrive. the origianl luxe web storefront i ordered from is no longer there, and three ridges is selling these now. so i think the customer experience is probably 1000% better. I like the size of the megahorn xl, but not thrilled with the short door. now there are a lot of options out there to choose from.

I have heard that same thing about the folks who we ordered from, I never did get my wood burning stove from them. I think the company is large enough they could help a person out,, but I also recognize the new people selling them should not have too, but the origins of LUXE should be able to potentially. I do agree, when it is really cold my back feels how short that entrance door is, and it does get old quickly, I used it at Deer camp this year and used it for a shower house and storage for extra gear, Thank you for taking the time to watch and share. your experience with them and the tent as well. I wish everyone luck who does go with this new company, the tent is a good tent for what it is, it is a shame the other folks made a habit of not dong the right thing.

In case anyone was wondering about the customer service aspect, that was with Luxe Outdoor's previous distributor Luxe Hiking Gear, they now have new distributors because of the issues customers were having with the previous one. I can't speak for how good the customer service is with the new distributors as I ordered my Megarhorn 3 with the previous one and it took a while for my tent to come in as well. I really want to get the Megahorn XL sometime as well and am hoping the new distributors are better. I know they have their own site from the UK, but they also have a new american distributor as well, three ridges gear.

That is true. Thanks for pointing that out. After my dealing with them and not ever getting my stove. I won’t order from them again and buyer be aware it is not rip stop. We are all spoiled to that here in the US. I wish Luxe would make them rip stop. It would be worth the extra 20 bucks. My next one if I can ever pull
      It off will be TentiPi

I've got the same tent and it's held up pretty well. Packs down small, great cap on the roof that you can adjust, lots of points to stakeout to make the tent stable in high winds. Unfortunately not a lot of US support. The Luxe US site has been a joke. I've had to deal with their Germany site to get parts. I've camped out in the middle of winter in BC in -20C and it wasn't bad, but I've just purchased the Russian Bear Pentagon which I think will be better for winter. Bigger and heavier of course and way more expensive but a LOT more durable than the Luxe. Each has its benefits.

Well said on the Luxe. I think the biggest issue for me is being the tent and stove cost me about about same amount as a single TentiPi tent and like your new tent, Tenti Pi is a much better tent and would have been my choice had I felt like it was in my budget, I got this one plus a stove for the about the same money, ends up, still never got the stove and that is aweful. Thanks for taken the time to share your experience with us. I know it is not everyone who got ripped off, but it's still not nice for a company to do that. Thanks again and I hope you have a blessed weekend.

I purchased a tent and stove from them at the beginning of 2022 and ran into the same problems. Somehow, I actually received my tent and stove, but it took several months. Also, the items were on sale at a significant discount before I placed my order. By the time I went to checkout the next day, the sale had ended. So before I ordered, I emailed them to see if they could still give me the same discount. No reply. I waited a few days and then just decided to pay the extra money and placed my order. The very next day the items went on sale again and my email was ignored. That left a bad taste in my mouth. They never responded to any emails.
I will say that I've been happy with the products and they seem well constructed, but I've seen enough bad reviews to know that I'm lucky to have even received my order.

Excellent -Question, I guess a better question would be, why would they not send me my stuff I paid for that was alledgedly in stock. After a year of hoping they would do the right thing, which is mail me my stuff I paid for, the credit card companies, will only go back 30-45 days for dispute purposes, and if they had any intentions of sending me my stuff they would have. Then secondary question is this, it was on sale with the stove included, so, if you was to try to reach out to them for a refund, how much was my tent worth and how much was the stove worth, since I didnt get the stove, would they send me a couple of hundred bucks, doubtful.
Again, I like the question, nothing in the world wrong with it.
The reason I waited so long to post this video was to give the company every possible solution to correct the issue and they have chosen not to do that. If you watch my channel much at all, you know I am positive person, I understand life and things happen, I also understand when a company has been given all the time in the world to make things right and they chose to ignore that.
Again, I am not saying, dont buy from this company, I am saying this is what happened to me and my experience with the company. I hope this helps answer your question, I hope you have a blessed week and I hope where ever you are, you have not been experiencing all the storms and storm damage like so many in Oklahoma, Louisiana, Missouri, and Texas been going through, lots of folks still without power etc.
Have a blessed week and thanks for taking the time to watch and comment.
