    Just talked to a regular DD customer yesterday snd she was SHOCKED to hear we technically don't get anything more than the few bucks of base pay. She honestly thought part of the fees she was paying was counting as tips for us.

    These companies are still reporting yearly loses. The only way they can afford to pay drivers more is to charge the customers more. What they should be doing is just stop taking orders that they know drivers are not going to accept, this way they can stop having to refund the order cost and take a lose for bad orders.

    These fools steal tips, charge a $7 to $10 charge for delivery, and drivers get base fare that starts at $2. All delivery fees should be paid 100% to the driver. Imagine, if every order was $7 plus tips. you dont need to do anything else but that. DD, Uber, GH they all charge crazy prices for the food people order, they dont need any of that delivery fees or to steal tips. but they do.

      I know 2.50, you can't make any money at it. But one time I got a stack order. It was 2 two dollars orders. I said no way, I declined it. In a couple of minutes they sent it back. The very same order. They couldn't get rid of it. So I was really close to it so I went ahead and accepted it. Paying for gas was about all I was getting out of that. I completed that order. The break down on that call was 2 stops one delivery 3.5 miles 4 dollars total no tip. College girls do not tip. The next call I got was for 1 delivery, 4 miles, 24.00 dollars then I got a 8.00 call after that. So 36.00 for one hour is not to bad. If their giving me some decent calls I don't mind to do a cheapy now and again but otherwise nope!!!

    This is how pay needs to be divided.
    Business owners contribute to pay for drivers instead of paying fees. Have Areas where certain drivers drive.
    Then Customer Delivery fees, go to paying The company. This will make everyone money, every order delivered and every customer happy. Also, if you are personal with the driver. Like allowed communication between driver and business, Customers will get what they order and not report/ cancel. This will also stop scams by drivers and customers. The companies are just greedy greedy and want to pay drivers pennies on what they make. Yell loss when they get complaints.

    I used to drive for Uber eats and door dash, I moved on and glad I did. I went to Walmart spark and first day I worked 6 hours and made 286.00 for the day. I was shocked so now I only drive on that platform. Luckily we don’t have the immigration problem here in Hawaii. Walmart spark incentives is good also. Extra money for doing 2,3,6 runs ain’t complaining here. It did however take me 3 months to finally get accepted on the platform

    • @johnmor3541
      @johnmor3541 26 дней назад

      Here in NYC where Grubhub has a decent market share of orders there are some zones where the migrant problem hasn’t arrived to yet. Grubhub has stopped allowing new drivers in NYC the past 12 months which helps my case. I live in one of these few zones where it’s not oversaturated and the majority of drivers are cars and not mopeds/bikes. I avg $29/hr in my zone and work 45-50hrs a wk. If Grubhub removed its zones then I’m done. Every other app has no zones and you can’t make money on them.

      Same here. Spark in my area is the main gig. DD runs in the background for the quick .05-4mile drop off offers while waiting for a spark shop/deliver and round robins. My reply, "they are closed, there is no one here to ask." I was told that the merchant is paid for the order that is placed.....🤔🧐🧐🧐🧐 Chatting with a bot gets you nowhere, chat with an agent will just jack up the app..... Everybody is in business to make money. Drivers are as well. Some people do this work solely as their living. The markets not the same everywhere. I see some orders that this guy turns down. That I would take! And if you don't take those orders. You just don't get them. If doordash paid straight like they claim they do. It would be different A person should be able to make a small profit. Just by earning base pay, no tips. If I didn't get any tips at all on my runs I likely wouldn't even be able to pay for my gas. Not mentioning a car payment, insurance. Nobody is asking the apps to do their job for nothing. But the apps doesn't mind asking drivers to do something for nothing. Like a 2.00 order. Theres enough beggars on the streets asking you for something when you drive by. It really is screwed up when your employer, the apps, are asking you to let them get paid .

    I think to guarantee a state’s minimum wage in base pay an $.040 a mile plus tips to the delivery would be a reasonable amount to pay the driver to deliver. That’s only $4.00 to $6 for up to 5 miles. But the again guess that would kill them if they couldn’t send a driver 11 miles for $4 or $5.. These guys are going to cry big tears to not have to pay. They are really starting to sweat due to other states looking at similar laws. The last time I looked into it there was like 13 states including the states that have recently passed legislation.
