Just talked to a regular DD customer yesterday snd she was SHOCKED to hear we technically don't get anything more than the few bucks of base pay. She honestly thought part of the fees she was paying was counting as tips for us.
If they didn't punish you for not accepting low pay orders there wouldn't be a problem.
These companies are still reporting yearly loses. The only way they can afford to pay drivers more is to charge the customers more. What they should be doing is just stop taking orders that they know drivers are not going to accept, this way they can stop having to refund the order cost and take a lose for bad orders.
Couldn't have said it better myself
this shit is no longer profitable
It’s is you have multi app Amazon flex at 3 am then Uber and spark for the rest of the day sometime l make 450 In16 hours
Nope.
@@trappdaddy6920no you don’t. Post a video on your channel and prove it lmao. Bot a$$ account
Made 34 an hour yesterday including 30 bucks in gas
These fools steal tips, charge a $7 to $10 charge for delivery, and drivers get base fare that starts at $2. All delivery fees should be paid 100% to the driver. Imagine, if every order was $7 plus tips. you dont need to do anything else but that. DD, Uber, GH they all charge crazy prices for the food people order, they dont need any of that delivery fees or to steal tips. but they do.
We as drivers must understand that there will never be an increase as long as the government won’t make these companies step up and pay a decent wage.
Never answer questions from support, they don’t pay you for that. They don’t make it easy to collect cancellations, I answer zero questions.
Definitely hindered. When I turn on the app and see nothing but low orders I just cut off and go home.
WE NEED TO FIGHT TO TAKE AWAY THEIR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY MODEL CAUSE THIS IS A MODERN DAY SWEAT BOX.
The federal government gives you 67 cents per mile. When I did my taxes this year. I think they should at least pay that. Whether it's part per min per mile or just miles. Or make a minimum of 5.00 tip. But yes somethings need to change. I have always been told change is always good. So they need to change with the times and inflation.
And to think that’s only to cover vehicles costs
Not only that they need to cap the amount pf drivers. They shouldn't have added millions of drivers just to toss around crumbs.
All drivers that been around for years deserve to make more than a struggling living. All these other hirings should be deactivated. Simply hire replacements for drivers that retire.
Prop 22 in CA. is juicy!
There is no doordash there is no company There's No Business Without the drivers
Yup. No wonder it's dead in my market even more now. 😂
Customers thinks we get the money that they pay on their order that’s why they don’t tip
My background check needs to go thru because I been online for 2 hours and ain’t got shit … I don’t take shit orders 😂 used to make 1k at 35/40 hours a week .. now is $500 for 60/70 hours like WTF😂 I ALREADY GOT HIRED AT A REAL JOB JUST THAT CHECK 😅
Hi!!! Nephew - thanks for sharing this info!!!!!! Bless u and yours!!!!!!🥰
Thats why those trash orders go stay at the sto
Ayo hollaaaaaaaaaaaa
Those platinum guys will pick them up🤦🏾♂️
@@Tweezy316 they sure are welcome to em
I know 2.50, you can't make any money at it. But one time I got a stack order. It was 2 two dollars orders. I said no way, I declined it. In a couple of minutes they sent it back. The very same order. They couldn't get rid of it. So I was really close to it so I went ahead and accepted it. Paying for gas was about all I was getting out of that. I completed that order. The break down on that call was 2 stops one delivery 3.5 miles 4 dollars total no tip. College girls do not tip. The next call I got was for 1 delivery, 4 miles, 24.00 dollars then I got a 8.00 call after that. So 36.00 for one hour is not to bad. If their giving me some decent calls I don't mind to do a cheapy now and again but otherwise nope!!!
If every driver took the exact same day off as a form of protest! I think that would be enough of a loss for the company in a day to see the value of the driver.
corporate greed... period!
We are getting ripped off 😅
The total miles should refelct how much you get paid no matter what. A 17 mile order should not less then $17 i have seen 17 miles orders for between $9-$15 and thats AFTER customer tip
I’m picking up a sprinter van and deleting this app! The rich gone keep getting richer
This is how pay needs to be divided.
Business owners contribute to pay for drivers instead of paying fees. Have Areas where certain drivers drive.
Then Customer Delivery fees, go to paying The company. This will make everyone money, every order delivered and every customer happy. Also, if you are personal with the driver. Like allowed communication between driver and business, Customers will get what they order and not report/ cancel. This will also stop scams by drivers and customers. The companies are just greedy greedy and want to pay drivers pennies on what they make. Yell loss when they get complaints.
I used to drive for Uber eats and door dash, I moved on and glad I did. I went to Walmart spark and first day I worked 6 hours and made 286.00 for the day. I was shocked so now I only drive on that platform. Luckily we don’t have the immigration problem here in Hawaii. Walmart spark incentives is good also. Extra money for doing 2,3,6 runs ain’t complaining here. It did however take me 3 months to finally get accepted on the platform
Here in NYC where Grubhub has a decent market share of orders there are some zones where the migrant problem hasn’t arrived to yet. Grubhub has stopped allowing new drivers in NYC the past 12 months which helps my case. I live in one of these few zones where it’s not oversaturated and the majority of drivers are cars and not mopeds/bikes. I avg $29/hr in my zone and work 45-50hrs a wk. If Grubhub removed its zones then I’m done. Every other app has no zones and you can’t make money on them.
And now because of scammers some areas of the country are using Uber eats instead of spark. GL
Same here. Spark in my area is the main gig. DD runs in the background for the quick .05-4mile drop off offers while waiting for a spark shop/deliver and round robins. Spark on avg is $10 for 3miles here. $30 pickup/delivery for 2 miles are quite often as well. Folks in our small town love tipping us because we serve them well.
We are the whole business we're the ones that actually bring the item from point A to point B without us there is no doordash
The days of making money from Food delivery is over you need grocery delivery and or catering in order to be somewhat financially stable full time in the gig economy
OWN TESLA STOCK CAUSE MAN Uber eats and DoorDash about to have a CHALLENGE
Facts that’s why we gotta quit they just gonna lower our pay until robo taxi comes
@@printerganginvestments Only a fool would ride in a driver less car. There's a video put out last week of a Wayno car that moved over into the next lane due to some guys riding unicycles. It was the oncoming traffic lane. So a driverless car was riding the wrong way on a regular street towards anyone driving up that street and it just stayed in that lane. That's crazy and it's dangerous. It is said that people in foreign countries are driving the car for you. I don't know if that's true or not but no way I would ever ride in one.
Lol, they're not fighting for shit. They take orders from places that are closed, then when you try to contact DD you get a bot telling you to "please ask merchant to make the order"......... My reply, "they are closed, there is no one here to ask." I was told that the merchant is paid for the order that is placed.....🤔🧐🧐🧐🧐 Chatting with a bot gets you nowhere, chat with an agent will just jack up the app..... Call as a top dasher, well it's like old school dial up and you wait 10-20 minutes to talk to Habib in another country who doesn't speak English very well nor understand wth you are saying, they talking kilometers when we talk miles. Lol, there's your sign!
I don't blame gig apps for taking advantage . They are in business to make money.
I blame the drivers that are clueless about vehicle expenses and accept 5 or $6 dollar orders .
Everybody is in business to make money. Drivers are as well. Some people do this work solely as their living. The markets not the same everywhere. I see some orders that this guy turns down. That I would take! And if you don't take those orders. You just don't get them. If doordash paid straight like they claim they do. It would be different A person should be able to make a small profit. Just by earning base pay, no tips. If I didn't get any tips at all on my runs I likely wouldn't even be able to pay for my gas. Not mentioning a car payment, insurance. Nobody is asking the apps to do their job for nothing. But the apps doesn't mind asking drivers to do something for nothing. Like a 2.00 order. Theres enough beggars on the streets asking you for something when you drive by. It really is screwed up when your employer, the apps, are asking you to let them get paid .
@@kkenneth100 People that do this full time should look up the definition of "gig"...Temporary job not intended for full time.
Apps don't mind asking drivers to do something for nothing because they are a business not a charity.
Too many drivers drives the price down its simple supply and demand.
$2 orders exist because drivers accept them .
Uber eats has an incentive in Houston. 140 deliveries for $1000
Yea, that has nothing to do with what this topic is about.
If you want to work 7 days a week for 8-12 hours to get that bonus by spending 100-300$ on gas then go for it.
@@calisurfin already on 30 deliveries and made 400 in less than 8 hours. It’s been on fire.🔥
How many days do you have to complete 140 orders?
Job are on your own business…. These apps are failing people.
This is how anything works. The people who actually do the work get the “scraps”. Our owners will always find a way to pay us as little as possible.
Your "owners"? What are you a slave?
Pass the savings onto the “customer” 💀like when Apple removed the chargers to protect the environment
I was fu*king with the algorithm today. I was taking orders I don't usually take and declining orders i usually take. Had my best day yet.
I always take the first order of the dash regardless of how much or how far. I find if I do the rest of the day is 🙌🔥$
If I don’t it’s low profits.
Best day Saturday 4 deliveries $52 and some extra stuff. Good day
You can’t F w the system. The system F’s you based on dasher availability in that area.
I dont ever turn my UberApp on anymore.. 2024 Uber?? Shameeeeee onnnn youuuuu !
I think less cherry picking dashers means more money for high AR dashers cause the orders don’t go up artificially from the cherry pickers.
And yeah Uber out here now in nyc definitely changed
Migrants takin ova
I think to guarantee a state’s minimum wage in base pay an $.040 a mile plus tips to the delivery would be a reasonable amount to pay the driver to deliver. That’s only $4.00 to $6 for up to 5 miles. But the again guess that would kill them if they couldn’t send a driver 11 miles for $4 or $5.. These guys are going to cry big tears to not have to pay. They are really starting to sweat due to other states looking at similar laws. The last time I looked into it there was like 13 states including the states that have recently passed legislation.
RUclips channel u have to pay a taxx
I wonder if the food delivery business will survive?
1:13 total slowdown. Hate it
I'm learning how to trade options bro. No boss at all jus you and the market. These companies period would love to cut cost for the workers. It's ways to make money out here. Yes you can lose money with options but you can make money. All on your own. Let these companies do what they gone do. I don't use them as a customer. The don't make sense.
Lol options trading you will make a few winning trades and lose more than you win. The reality is trading is a losing proposition and if it was worth the time and people we're making money everyone would be doing it. Quit now while you're ahead of the game before you lose all your money
@@bballah9969i turned $12 into $140 and $40 into $512. It's not hard. You gotta want to learn. Those were with winning and losing trades i ended up with those amounts. Took me like 3-4 hours each of those times because im new and know nothing really. Those are small examples. The market flows.
@@bballah9969I trade options for a living lmaooo just because you have horrible risk management and are emotional when in a position and trade 0DTEs (because your can’t afford to buy contracts weeks out) doesn’t mean everyone else will fail. Same bro. Whats your IG? I’d love to add you to my discord group and we can make pre-market lists every morning together :)
Good call snoop dogg
Pushing against min wage lol. That's before gas and expenses. Quit f'n drivers. Plus begging people to rent a Tesla for $$$$ a week and live in their car.
