About Gold Shaw Farm: Gold Shaw Farm is more of a farm-in-progress than an honest-to-goodness farm. Our dream is that someday, we can transform our 150+ acre parcel of land into a regenerative and productive homestead and farm.
Simple , no drama, no news, just a day on a farm .
👍
I can see why you enjoy working with the cows. It is so zen.
Absolutely tickled you opened with my daughter's favorite singer.
Thank you for taking us with you as you do farm chores. ❤ i don't know which was more peaceful, the cows munching and walking and mooing, or the birds clucking, pecking, honking, eating. All of it was awesome. 😊
Abby is so good with the chickens...!! She's come such a long way!
Toby's zoomies are adorable. Those apples look tasty even to me. Watching ducks and geese drinking and swimming and cleaning themselves was mesmerizing for some reason. One of the best kinds of video from you. Always a pleasure to watch them. Thank you.
Another great video! Your microphone is insane!!! I loved hearing the "plop" when the ducks went into the water in the swales, the drinking, swimming, etc... Can't forget the pigglies going to town on those apples!!! The way the Moo Crew goes to the new pasture amazes me every time!!!
Cows close ups and breathing into the microphone is so relaxing.
These videos are food for the soul. Good to see the dogs so happy and healthy.
Did you see how when Abby started barking, the chickens ran toward her to see what she was barking at 🤣
This is what I need today. I love hearing your stories and seeing whatever projects you've got going on. But this just peaceful day in the life was needed today. It's been a rough one today.
Had to laugh Abby barked and all the chickens ran back in the coup.
What a nice Thursday morning video, so peaceful and so much to like here, great editing! I was just looking for winter canvas art and wondered to myself what it is about bovine that makes them so appealing to look at and then on my other side of the screen Morgan's Highland's come on and I feel all warm inside. I was raised around cows and was never a fan of them but as a city woman I could look at them for hours! The pigs eating would make a great Thanksgiving clip for "pigging out" or "eat like a pig"!
I love how Toby gets a quite moment to himself with his bone. Such a good boy❤
Aww look at Abby calmly observing and protecting her chickens
A brilliant episode from the farm... getting to know the characters you care for each day. A meditation video for me - so peaceful. Thanks for sharing so creatively.
Toby is usually so serious, so it's nice to see him get the zoomies!
Yes, you know he's feeling well
I thought that was Abby in the upper pasture
@@truckerdaddy-akajohninqueb4793 yeah it was abby (Edit: I just rewinded cause these comments made me doubt myself and, I don't know how I missed it but there's also a clip of Morgan playing with Toby where he's got the zoomies too at some point, so yeah, they both zoomed in that video 😅)
@@allister.trudel It's definitely Toby with the zoomies @17:40.
This nat sound video looks like it was a lot of work with all the short shots of yourself. Nicely done Best Boy!
Nice to see a bit of the cats in this chores video :)
They are beautiful. Its great to see the pastures and out and about chores. Very nice!
Just me and my cat watching a farm video. My cat is fascinated with the chickens. 😀 And was reading out to the cows when they got close to the camera. This was just what I needed today. Thank you 🙏
this was so beautiful to see. the cinematography on this one was also especially beautiful. thank you morgan!
I could not watch this the other day when I had a lot of handwork to do during my sitting down time, but came back to it today when I had the opportunity to really watch. Not rely on listening to a storyline. The animals are hilarious sometimes. That cow who had to have just that particular piece of grass right under the camera...I was rolling. So many small animal expressions and behaviours caught on camera. It was fun. Thanks!
I spotted Ralph! Cute little guy!
Your new barn is gorgeous 😮
Hello to you all. Abbe is doing great with the chickens. she has come a long way.
A normal day, at Gold Shaw farm... love the ambiance of it all...
Morgan! That picture at 0:00 at the very beginning over Alison's farm onto the new shed and tree line is gorgeous!
Love watching you taking care of the animals and seeing them do what they enjoy!
Why is it so satisfying to hear animals enjoying their food????? 😁
Great video! Calming in these troubled times! ❤
Glad you enjoyed!
Seeing the cows calmly walk past you to the new part of the pasture is cool. It seems like an indication of sorts of the work put in training them.
I have been watching your videos for years now and I love your channel ❤️❤
Yes! Thank you Morgan. Loved this. I didn't realise just hearing you greet the animals and such, just made this video awesome.
I've never been able to get through a whole one previously.
I'm a long time watcher but I watch on my TV and so don't comment often. But I had to on this!. Plus my new puppy loves to watch with me. Also your channel is so lovely topic to chat about with an auntie which is so fun. Much love from Hampshire, England.
The thumbnail is cute! I love seeing Ralph, he's the best duck! The cows are so funny, it was fun seeing what they did. I can't wait until you get more cows.
Morgan, just an idea, take a pair of scissors with you and cut those burrs out of the cows hair instead of pulling them out with a brush. It won’t hurt that way. I love watching all the different birds following you at feeding time… they are cute as the waddle behind you…. Blessings
Such amazing people ,with amazing hearts.
The pigs stuffing their faces with apples is my second favorite thing now, after Weird Chicken Moment of Zen. :D It's amazing how well they cleared out their area. I know you're not sure if you'll get pigs again next year but I'll be happy to see you get another round of piggies in the future.
Stick season is one of the best. Makes me home sick ❤
another fine day on the farm
hangin out with the animals ~
this was absolutely gorgeous to watch ~
the beauty of the nature & the beauty of the video & editing ~
gave me many lafs too ~
love those runner ducks ~
i think they were saying ' what are we gonna do today ? '
' i dunno ~ lets just follow each other around ' ~
Tying colored strips of plastic to the fence might make it more visible to birds. Prevent them getting killed on it.
I love when dogs get the zoomies ☺️😻So cute Toby and Abby are freaking adorable!
What a great way to spend my late morning. Enjoying my ☕ & watching the 🐓's,🦆's & Geese in pure IMax 3D! 😂😂😂😂
It's wet, grey & dreary here as well in Florida Morgan. Glad I'm not out in it & can just hunker down & enjoy it, while watching your great AMSR Video! 😉👍❤
Great video. Some stand out things that made me laugh:
• Belinda and Bonnie mooing and frustrated that couldn’t be closer to the herd. Loud ladies indeed
• Rambunctious Baby B
• Ducks and geese being confused and impatient at the chickens being fed first
• Abby Dog zoomies
• Toby Dog zoomies
Hey Morgan great pods and videos you make. ❤🎉😊
Really enjoyed the calm of today's video. How's the hand coming along?
Good morning large white farm dogs! 😊❤
Nothing is better than Toby
I have to mention how much I enjoy the flock - especially the ducks - enjoying the swales. This is the first summer in which the flock has been out and using the whole of the orchard, and it's such a treat to see them all living their best lives utilising your farm as you envisioned.
My Grandbabies like to watch your videos with me. They like to make the animal sounds when they see the animals. They can tell the difference between chickens, ducks and geese.
You will laugh at their comments today.
•those doggies run so fast
•He is doing ballet (that was when you were leaning over to brush one of the cows and one leg was up and one arm was stretched out) that one made me chuckle. The Grandbabies were wondering what was on the cattles hair?
The Grandbabies really enjoyed the video and seeing what all the Farm animals were doing.
@DinSF - In one of the more recent videos, Morgan said the cattle's paddock had burdock, which was clinging to their fur.
Abby is on par ❤❤❤
you need a bigger brush if you ever want to clear those mats from the fur
Hey Morgan, as always, love these types of videos the most!!! Man your latest generation of chickens are growing up! You can see the difference over the last few months! Love the relationship you have with all your animals. Thank you for sharing it! 🙏
lt so nice to watch farm stuff going on.....Thanks Morgan 👍
Old F-4 Shoe🇺🇸
for a little bitty farmer in Alabama this heard looks amazing to me thanks for sharing
This is going into my favorites collection 1❣️📽
Hooray! 👏 👏 👏 So good hearing “Release the cluckin’!” I’ve missed that from your early-days vids. And what a beautiful new barn!
More to come!
Abbey and cattle very well together a symbiotic relationship between all animals specially abbey and cattle and Toby and birds . it is very heartwarming to see very body happy and healthy
Love that song Stick Season! I just discovered that artist recently and of course hes a Vermonter. I love Your Highlands. They are my favorite cows. I miss Vermont and wish I could get back that way to see my friends in the Barton area. I moved to OK so I haven't been back in 5 yrs unfortunately. I don't miss the snow though! 😂
I received Toby Dog book today - - it is a Christmas gift for my great granddaughter. She loves books and I can't wait until Christmas Day to read it to her. They have 2 big dogs and she loves them so I know she will love Toby Dog too.
Adorable love barn chores
What were they thinking with the design of those human stair/ladders for the weird chicken coop?
And just to add, maybe once a year, do a livestream Q&A where you go into detail what's new on the farm, how you did for the year, where does money go. then put a link to that q&a in every video. seems you'll have everything covered that way. I'm a subscriber, and know nothing about farming but enjoy your videos. Keep up the great work.
For a second I thought the ducks are going camping! A book adventure! Take good care & have a great thanksgiving!🍗🍠🥧🌽🦃🍁🍎
Like these "Farm Zen" vids! Thanks!
I like your cow’s dangly earring! classy! 😂❤️
Thank you! 😊
Watching those ducks follow you was a sheer delight! 😊😊😊❤
Awesome shot angles!
May I suggest to we not seed that pods, throwing them on the ground just means that they have a chance to reproduce
Somewhere around @ 12:45 It occurred to me that even though walking does a person good. It probably wouldn't hurt
to get one of those " Cushman's, " ( A golf cart like vehicle w/ a Truck bed ) [ for those who don't know ] .
Then Especially on " Rainy or Snowy Days," the bed could " be Loaded w/ Food & Supplies " and " the Roof or awning " could keep
" the Driver & " his ' Friendly Beasts '" Dry to Boot "!
Large white farm dogs. and not a moment too soon.
Like the new weird chicken ramp.
Oh, my, how Beatrice has grown!
Seems like booster the rooster (adopted duck) is doing just fine ❤❤
Can you use the cow crush to get the burdocks out of the hair/fur of the cows who won’t let you brush them? And maybe help them realize that brushing really is a pleasant thing?
Great video! Thank you!
So cool how all the chickens ran back in the coop when Abby started barking. Interesting how they learned that she’s a protector, yet how did that happen I wonder?😊
Great camera and scene work.
What is stick season ? I dont get it .
All the leaves are off the trees all you see is the sticks
@@dapaine2193 thankyou , here in salt lake we still have lots of trees in blooming color .really nice .
Leaves are gone, but no snow.
Thanks for asking the question for me!
@@GoldShawFarmThankyou Farmer Morgan . Winters coming ,Ah maybe .
This is the best video I have ever seen ❤❤❤❤
All these chickens... And one lousy egg. I KNOW that feeling. 😢 I bought eggs for the first time in 6 years last week., 😭😭😭
Did I hear Ravens calling in the background near the start of the video? (Time stamp 1:08) Ravens are so neat & they have been spreading back to their historical territory-would love to know if they are in northern Vermont!❤🐦⬛🐦⬛🐦⬛🐦⬛
Morgan's got a vendetta against one of the pigs, throwing apples at its head twice 😂
Your grass looks so good still! I'm already feeding hay here in Idaho 🤦
You do know that y'all are the plot of every RomCom on Hallmark channel Christmas shows right? Like, this is what it's really like ... not sure if you're feeling it, but it's nice to see the reality of it all. :)
have you thought about getting the girlies feet checked out? the hoof looked a little overgrown when she was scratching her face.
i know you mentioned the vet is closing but i think they are usually done by hoof trimmers not vets so its possible you might find some in your area.
Do u think Abbey will ever get the cattle to play with her? Shes always looking for someone to play..😊
Hey Morgan just saw your new video I wanted to give you a couple of tips that might help for cattle one I saw you have a temporary fence lane down from the top pasture might not be a bad idea to make that permanent second mabey using some of you new barn/building a hay shed for your bails a hay spear rather that huger for bails and for your cows as grass feed cows some minerals and actually dry hay not silage bales making a concrete floor barn yard with durable metal fence not your tones of gates you bought your cows can just push those around actually round bale feeder a cattle brush for inside the barn on the wall and beding the cattle with straw hay corn foter somthing
You BLOCKED COMMENTS on your latest video, and I so much wanted to push back at this woman saying they you’re hiding costs in your homesteading. I’ve been watching you since the very beginning of your videos. I can’t full assure to this lady that she has not watch since the beginning. She has put herself in a position of to criticize you for not doing things that you have absolutely done. It makes me pretty angry because she’s the one who isn’t fully in truth. She’s living in halve truths in order to be unkind and it makes me angry. I’m grad you had the conversation and I’m sorry you have to block folks based on the fact that they insist on being unkind.
I just watched that. I felt she wasn’t really listening. She sounded jealous of the fact that Morgan can afford things that she can’t. He also doesn’t have kids to feed and clothe,so can put more money into his farm. I really didn’t enjoy listening to her. I love watching the farm content. Even if I’m from the other side of the world (Australia). Morgan helped me through our lockdowns. His humour, his animals and everything in between. Cheers to you Morgan. I love your content and couldn’t care less how you come about your new fences. Or tractor. Cheers from Australia.
She seemed unhappy that he isn’t running a traditional farm! I was irritated most of the video. She can’t comprehend the concept of his businesses and maybe there is some underlying jealousy on her part.
I had to stop listening I found her too annoying, why does Morgan have to consider her when he’s making his episodes, I would suggest 99% of subs don’t and never will live on a farm so why was this all about her.
I really appreciated that video, her perspective, and his responses. I've watched many but certainly not all of his videos, and when I described it to my partner, I said "They have poultry and dogs and cattle, but... I'm pretty sure the product is the videos?" because, while I am not anywhere NEAR as experienced as she was, I also felt that there was a pretty significant gap between the scale of the farm and his ability to purchase equipment/improvements.
I think both of them made great points, and I appreciate him having that conversation and sharing it.
I lave farm chores🌼 so relaxing…
11:52 All the ducks and geese in the back be like: "TICK TOCK MORGAN WHERE'S OUR BREAKFAST?!?"
Those pigs are gonna make for some delicious meals.
The way one of the piggies got hit on the head by apples like 10 times made me laugh so hard 19:05
I saw a video on how to preserve fresh unwashed egg for a year or more in lime water. That may be something you would want to consider doing in the spring so you will have eggs in the winter time.
I figured that the pigs would have went to the market by now.
Another lovely video, thanks!
Told you there won't be much snow this year the El-nino is strong
love those ground view animal shots😘
Is one of the heifers in heat over there? She was bellering the entire video! lol I felt bad for the poor robin though ,which was a casualty I presume of the electric fence, but I appreciate you choosing to leave that part in. Love watching your videos Morgan, it’s like a little bit of Zen on the farm. 😊
You could try putting the kitty go pro on the cows, I’d love to see what they see, even though it’s most likely 9 hours of grass and scratches😅
I love the pigs.
