I have the Copywritten in 1980. 1980 NKJV.. Giant Print...which I need, and cannot find in a Catholic Bible. I grew up on the KJV, so I really love this Bible...
I think that’s fine for Carrying around. I’ve carried Bibles that were even bigger so that was nothing to me but I guess if you’re a smaller type of person it would be a problem but those dimensions are fine for me personally
I'm impressed with the readability. I absolutely hate ghosting (which is why I often read the Bible on the Kindle app on my tablet). I would rather have a 4 inch thick bible than deal with ghosting. This one isn't too bad. Good review.
Thanks for your comment Brian. In October, Thomas Nelson will be releasing a verse by verse, large print, center column NKJV in the comfort print font - I'm looking forward to it!
Thomas Nelson have published a similar KJV edition. The ISBN for the black imitation leather KJV is 9780785215288. They also have other covers available, which are listed here: www.christianbook.com/kjv-reference-giant-print-leather-black/9780785215288/pd/215288?
The reference style and Topical Encyclopedia in the Open Bible suffers from the same design choice. They chose aesthetic over function, I do love the new font but the main part was the Topical Encyclopedia and they handicapped their own system. I hope people let them know so they can maybe make some changes next time around. This large print is nice , I'd like to get their 10-11 pt font thinline for review ....There are way to many bibles and not enough money 😁 Thanks for the great reviews brother .
Sorry for my delay - I'm only just seeing your comment. I think it depends on how you wish to use the particular reference Bible. E.g. The Thompson Chain Reference is better if you are researching a particular topic. The Bible in this review is better if you are looking for other verses that link to the passage you are reading. The Thompson Chain Reference also has additional features, but does not have the full set of translator's notes.
Nelson is upgrading my favorite study bible the Open Bible with their new Comfortprint and this video gives me hope. I was concerned their new print would look like 2kDenmarks CSB font which IMHO is much to scrunched up very odd looking text. I like this new style thanks for showing it.😇
A great review. I appreciate your mention of the centre column references being rather small and congested.
A very thorough, informative review. Well done. Thank you for posting it.
Thanks R. Grant Jones. I'm only just seeing your comment. May I also thank you for your many informative Bible reviews. I really enjoy watching them!

Thank you for your thorough review. I'm bible shopping, and you've covered all the important points!
Thanks Tina! Hope you managed to find what you were looking for!

Thanks Scotty! I'm also not a fan of ghosting, I think they've done a good job on this.
I agree 100%. Based on statement that this one isn't bad, I will try it. Thanks!
Great review. I like the center column system which seems to be disapearing. I wish it were v by v

Do you know if these bibles are sewn? I noticed when looking at the Non-Deluxe editions on Christianbook that they said glued.
Hi Tim. Thanks for your comment. Sorry for my delay - I'm only just seeing your comment. I can confirm that this Bible is sewn.
What would you recommend this or a chain reference Bible is there much difference thanks

There's something wrong with this video. I can't play it past 2:56
Thanks for your comment Ronald. It works fine for me; are you able to give it another try?
where can I get this bible to buy from
Hi Nigel, you can get it from Amazon. Just put the ISBN (9780785217817) in the search box and it will come up. I hope that helps.
🔥🔥🔥
I agree with everything you said as I recently got this bible. They could’ve done a better job with the references. Great review!
Thanks Nikki! (Sorry for my delayed reply, only just seeing this!)
