Teaching dogs to enjoy going into an airline carrier can be a difficult process. I usually train dogs to back to first stand with their back paws on the flap. Once they are happy offering this behavior, I teach them to back in. It can take several training sessions to get the final product, and even more repetition beyond that to ensure that they are comfortable settling inside.
