I've grown up listening to George Jones & Conway Twitty. I wasn't too fond of the music when I was younger, now I feel ridiculous.. How can I not? This guy has an amazing voice, I would have loved to see him live. He will definitely be missed. -3
My oldest daughter who was 4 years old at the time used to say she wanted a pair of tight fittin jeans because i used to play this song all the time. I saw Conway at the Front Row in Cleveland in 1983. He was awesome! Loved his sexy groan. There will never be another like Conway Twitty!
see one of Conway's last shows in the Moines Iowa they don't make music like that anymore and they sure the hell don't make guys like Conway anymore rip Conway
For my 14th birthday my mom gave me a double set collection of cassette tapes of Conway, LOL, he was my hearts dream at 14! I am 54 now and all grown up and glad he found The Lord before he passed, but I admit that back then my thoughts about this man were not in the least godly!
Born in 1981. Always a fan of classic country--in my mind country music died forever in the early 2000s. I hate to admit it but I'd never heard this great song before until today when my local country station took a break from Taylor Shift and Kenny Chesney to play this masterpiece.
My great uncle Jim would come to visit us on Sundays and I would fix him a spit cup and he would ask me to play this song for him every time. This song brings back precious memories of him. ❤
I was in the Air Force at Dyess, AFB when I became friends with Mike Huffman. Mike...Your the best songwriter I have ever known and the worst fisherman! Mike's a pretty good singer too!
I hate that I never saw him in concert. He will always be my favorite country artist, But I did get to see Loretta Lynn in 1983 at a very small venue in Franklin, GA . She was so down to earth and awesome. I still think that they were secretly carrying a torch for each other.
Me and Conway are 2 of a kind. I'm 71 now and been listening to him since 1958. Got most every song he ever sang. People who ever researched the songs that he sung back to those early days like Diana, Handyman, You Win Again know what I'm talking about. He wasn't afraid to do anyone's songs. Also we both liked them ladies wearing Tight Fittin Jeans.
One of my favorite Conway Twitty songs.....I love to annoy the crap out of my wife playing this out loud in the house. She HATES country music, haha. Lord, believe me over 20 years I've tried to get her to like the music, but I have yet to get her to go beyond listening to Kenny Rogers, lol.
+cat number 5 and true, but everyone would benefit by trying to understand and accept what others like to. and this comment pertains to much more than just music
"Well, now she's back in her world, and I'm still stuck in mine. But I know I'll always remember the time. A cowboy once had, a millionaire's dream. And Lord I loved that lady wearin' tight fittin' jeans" well sung Mr.Twitty
The bars play the song all the time in the 80sI never seen a woman come in in a bar all the never coming a bar before and they all roll tight fitting jeans. The song was the bar people's fantasy. I'm not sure but I believe the song was 1981.
@ebonics4everyone I can agree with you about Hank Jr but the rest is just so so...I'm die hard Conway though! Been a fan since I was 3 and my parents took me to see him in concert when I was 4.
I remember My Aunt Listening to Elvis and Conway Twitty and The Oak Ridge Boys and my music tastes vary because My Dad listened to Elvis and Big Bopper and others but man the music
Harold Jenkins was Conway's real name and he is my best friend Carol Marcum Morgan cousin on the Jenkins side and they sure look a lot alike. RIP Conway you will forever be missed
my dream came true when i saw him in concert when i was 18 in fairmont wv we could get a picture autographed you better bet i was not leaving till i got the autograph
