  • This helpful video explains how to set up a dihybrid cross (a cross with two traits). Use the easy "cross-over" method that I explain in this video to set up a Punnett very easily!

    Thankyou for this. I thought Im not allowed to repeat the possible combination gametes from genotype, which actually confused me somehow.. But now it's pretty clear that it's okay to repeat it. wish me luck im taking my genetics exam later hehe

    Thank you but I have a problem solving a question if we cross between RRyy x RrYy , F1 will be 8/16 rounded yellow and 8/16 will be rounded green but what should I do in F2 generation it’s confusing I will be having four not RRYy , RRyy , RrYy , Rryy or maybe I made a mistake

    I have a question, when filling a square that its upper is bC for example and its side is BC, is the square will be BCbC or BCCb? Its confusing where i know Capital should comes first! Thanks in advance.😅

      We keep the same alleles togehter, so it will be BbCC

    Im having so much trouble still. How do I solve something like BcCe x BcCC with punnet square?? I am looking everywhere

      Are you sure you typed the genotypes correctly? BcCe is not a dihydrid cross. The "B" has to be matched with another "B", either B or b. Same with C. So doublecheck if you read the question correctly.

      Phenotypic ratio: 6 Black fur, rough coat: 6 Black fur, smooth coat: 2 White fur, rough coat: 2 White fur, smooth coat
      Genotypic ratio: 6 BBCc : 6 Bbcc : 2 bbCc : 2 bbcc

    doesn't the dominant trait represented by the capital letter always comes first?

      Writing the capital letter first is just a preference, it makes no difference in the expression pattern whether you write Dd or dD.
