Hey Zen, I'm actually doing the same just with a different process. Your video gave me some good insights on where I can be better! Cheers mate. We should connect
This was a great video, you were very transparent about prices and what works best. Did you say that you have to be a paid midjourney member for commercial use? If so, which tier of membership must you have minimally?
Yes, as long as you're a paid member you can use it commercially. The basic plan starts at $10/month. You can view the detailed plans here docs.midjourney.com/docs/plans
I tried opening up a shop on Etsy, uploaded my 1st listing ever, a digital art generated by Midjourney (I'm on Standard Plan). But in less than 24 hours upon listing, my Etsy shop was suspended, reason being that my shop violated some Etsy Rules & Regulations. I've tried to email them, asking : what's the reason for the suspension, as far as I know, I'm not violating anything. It's been 6 days, and still no news 😢
I have listings suspended before and not my shop so I don't know much. From what I've read on reddit, your best bet is to wait for a response. Maybe try a different email contacting support also?
Can't believe you say that the description plays a small role. it's the main SEO for the algorithm, and even youtubers who managed to talk to Etsy and see the algorithm- said that the description is one of the most important things... also- I'd be careful trying to sell anything made by MJ as they are facing huge lawsuits right now.
I know that it’s part of the main SEO but from what I’ve learnt from other videos, it plays a small part compared to the other components. Yeah, AI Art in general is in a grey area now regarding that
@@shadedlightdigital some people were using copyrighted characters and some bad actors stole people's image creations as soon as those images were created, and they sold them on etsy.
Stupid question: Now that you're using Upscayl instead of Chainner, how do you change the Aspect Ratio of the image from 2:3 to 4:5 or 3:4? Does Upscaling an image only increase the amount of pixels? or does it change the a:r as well?
hey that's not a stupid question! it is something I struggled with when I first started too. Upscayl only increase the resolution and does not change the a:r. I am currently using figma (google it) to resize the image into the different a:r, I'm doing a new video on this soon!
@@EricCawaling Great question! I realized that some of the aspect ratio were getting stretched out and I didn't like the way it looked. You can still use chaiNNer if you're ok with that. Personally, I'm using photoshop now to resize my art and I'm working on a new video showing the new process, which will be up soon.
Your videos are great. The only thing I find problematic is that the process is extremely long... there are a lot of external tools to use to be able to create a single ad... On Etsy, you have to post every day to get visibility. If you post 2 times a day, for example, it becomes complicated with all these external tools... We spend hours on it... Midjourney, upscale, dimension, etc... I'm especially lost with all the new tools coming out...Photoshop AI, Adobe Firefly...And if you want to be professional, you need lots of different subscriptions, which I find expensive for a beginner...And it takes hours...
Hey thank you! I definitely agree with you that the beginning process is tedious, etc. I struggled a lot when I first started but tbh, the learning curve is not that high and I’ve got the hang of it after the first few months. Midjourney itself produces wonderful art and with basic knowledge of everything from prompting to photo editing skills, you can make a little cash out of it. So Imo, you don’t need to be professional to sell on Etsy.
Just to clarify for others, Adobe Firefly is what Photoshop uses. Adobe is planning to roll out their AI in nearly all of their software products, however, it's currently in Beta and isn't allowed for commercial purposes yet.

Thanks for the feedback, I’ll take note of it. For each listing on Etsy, they allow an upload up to 5 files of max 20MB each. If your files exceed that limit, you can upload them to a google drive and share the folder link in a Text document which you will then upload to your Etsy listing.
