I guess it makes for a nicer drive, the 6.6 over the 4.0 for it being lower boost, and how effortless the engine would have to work at sensible speeds, being so large.
S8 plus 3.4 s 0-100km/h and 0-200km/h in 10.1s.... brutally fast.
200 KM/H in real is about 213-215 km/h on speedometer, new m5 and s63s do 100-200 in 7-7,2sec, you say that heavy audi do it in 6.7 secs :)))

When activating LC in BMW it allways uses the fastest setup to launch the car and that includes to start in 2nd gear. the S8 plus is just faster. there are some other videos where the s8 plus wins too. the m760 is a totaly heavy ass car. "just" 800NM with a huge 6.6 v12. even the s63 4 matic is a slightly faster

Honza Štěpán the 48v hybrid system will not drive the car directly, it only helps the electric things （such as air con) working well when the car stopped and the engine power cut. but definitely will made the car slightly heavier than older s8 model. However, with more power, probability 700 more hp, they don’t really give a shit to those few kilos weight increase

Audi is nice but not sure I'd want any VW Group product once outside of maker's warranty. My own personal VW experience wasn't great. BMW however has been good to me. Not that I can afford either of these anyway. And if I could then maintenance and repairs aren't going to be a problem.
