This song was the one produced by the great Tony Visconti! Producer of David Bowie (also worked with T.Rex, Badfinger, The Moody Blues, Thin Lizzy, Morrisey, among others). He's 76 now. He invited Saiki and Miku to his studio to record and mix the vocals. Also to coach them in the english pronunciation. The lyrics are written by Tom Kenney, the songwriter who made the conection between Tony and the band.
Yes I am also surprised you didn't notice the entire song is in English. Also in Japanese culture the Dragon is viewed as a God-like entity. Entirely opposite of the Western view, The Japanese see dragons as protectors and benefactors of mankind. Therefore when the dragon sees all the hate, destruction, pollution, pain, war, etc upon the planet he cries. That is what this video is about.
Yep i just responded to that guess it just didn't bother me or my brain just didn't think to bring it up which is something to work on in future vids also thanks for the info! Much appreciated
One thing about this song and album. On the Band Maid fan pages, people argue that this video is about Global Warming. However, watch it a little closer. It is about Sin. And how the human race is slowly killing itself through various ways -- Suicide, war, drug overdose, pollution, etc. Also evident in the video is the main concept of the new album "Conqueror". The album itself deals with life, death, and Rebirth (or reincarnation), and people's beliefs on these subjects. To me, it is one of their best albums (of course, Just Bring It still remains my favorite album).
I would expect a reaction to this video to at least mention the fact they're singing in English, but either you didn't notice or it didn't surprise you and both are equally strange, especially as you have seen several of their videos and claim to like their songs which are all in Japanese. When reactors fail to pick up on the obvious things in a song/video, I do wonder if they're actually paying attention or if they just zone out and wait for the video to run its course so they can upload it and get the views? Anyway, the song's fantastic - one of my all-time favourite BAND-MAID songs. Not overly enthused by the preachy 'humans are destroying the planet' video, but hey-ho.
It's funny after reviewing it I noticed I didn't bring that up 2. I did see the difference straight away when I was recording I just yea didn't bring it up for some odd reason I guess it just didn't bother me
@@michaelcates9042 The video is entirely that - it's showing pollution (both chemical and plastic) and animals dying and humans suffering. It's as preachy as it gets unless you're Greta Thunderbird.
@@teuchterloon9130 As far as animals dying and humans suffering goes that has been happening since the dawn of time. Greta 'Thunderbird' is a nutcase. The Earths Climate is always in some sort of flux. I am not by any means an environmental wacko. I don't believe the earth is dying and we are doomed. As far as chemical and plastic pollution goes, well, that is out there, is it not? I'm just saying this doesn't trigger me as being a preachy video but I see how some could view it as such.

MISA MISA MISA! sociopolitical
Thanks Dax! Saiki has a cool voice.
Hendrix would love this tune for the Dragon imagery alone. Their most overtly social political message to date and l applaud them for it.

Hmm, not sure they're being preachy about humans destroying
The earth. See nothing in the lyrics
Or video that states or portrays that specifically.
