    This shows you how to fix the week spot in thirdgen camaros and firebirds, by the frame rail where the steering box goes into. You usually hear a crackling noise in the front end when you steer from left to right. The wonder bar strengthens this area.

    I had a major crack in my 88 IROC. For some reason it did not have the triangle stiffeners from the frame to the cross-member. I added those form a salvage yard along with a wonder bar from Global west suspension. I should have kept that car; fun times!!

    My opinion for next cars. Stop the crack by placing small drill holes at the end of the crack and then do a v-shape on the crack to get better penetration of your weld but otherwise well done as always by you. I bet it's a whole new life working with a car lift instead of the floor? Lift was the first thing I bought after we went into our new house. Never wanna go back :-)

    • @302vettelife2
      @302vettelife2 7 лет назад

      He wasn't filling a crack, he was joining the two sides (upper and lower, of the frame crack). Drilling a hole would have done nothing.

    rollbars are important if you roll the car, to keep the roof from coming down on you. Antisway bar keeps the car from leaning

      Dalton Jones huh?

    • @harryjones2420
      @harryjones2420 6 лет назад

      lol, you called the swaybar a rollbar. Your videos are very informative. I'm getting ready to do both of mine.

    • @klowny1969
      @klowny1969  6 лет назад

      Dalton Jones oh lol that's because I'm used to drag anti roll bars that are used on these cars..they are sway bars that are welded in place of the sway bars..in my new video on building a camaro from too to bottom, I installed one. Thanks for watching

  • @bobhemphut4011
    @bobhemphut4011 4 месяца назад

    So if I'm seeing it right you don't need the old sway bar to frame brackets? If you upgrade to a wonderbar. My driver side one broke near a bolt hole.

    The dist was changed 1 time 15 years ago at dealer
    And I ordered a new icm it's easy to replace
