I really like how Brendon is leaving no stone unturned. Whatever it takes to become a better golfer. Also he’s becoming more confident and a better teacher himself. Great video on putting.
Really interesting vid. The calibration is really tough for me, because it can change from round to round, and that change is so subtle. I don’t have the time to allot to that (although if I did, I think it would be a worthwhile part of my putting practice). Outside of regular recalibration, I find that the best way for me to avoid distraction and work my way around the changing perception of what straight looks like over the ball is to either look at the hole, or pick a spot on the line to roll roll the over, and look at that.
Most important is to not tilt your head upward as you look at the hole. Keep your eyes square to or on the plane of the putt. Many people look at the hole with their eyes parallel to the horizon and then look at the ball with their eyes parallel to the putt. Keeping your head sideways, as you are doing here makes a huge difference as to where you perceive the hole to be.
I think I have started doing this recently purely by accident. I'm holing more putts, two days in a row back to back birdies which is rare for me, and generally making more birdies and missing fewer shorties. My stats are fewer putts (36 to 32, and feeling more confident , fewer 3 putts). Are you keeping stats and what is happening to your stats?
Very true and I agree that the eye line is key for making putts BUT that is only part of making the putt. You only get one crack at it and speed will be even more important. This is where feel is king.
Legend of the Game
a tip : watch series on Flixzone. Me and my gf have been using them for watching a lot of movies lately.
Unlike so many YT golf tips, this tip actually worked and worked consistently under pressure. Thanks!
Thanks Blake! FILL’ER UP!
This is your best video thus far..and you’ve given plenty of great videos. Thanks!

Great putting insight. Really informative
Thanks, always wondered why my down the line putt never looked right once addressed. Will try this tomorrow.
Interesting!! I think there is something here!! Going to try that next time I am out. Thanks.

putting... The other day I was rolling in 20 footers for par saves and missing 2 footers for birdie. It was a a painful scramble for 81.
Would love to see another 9/18 hole golf vlog again sometime soon, take care.

Nice video b. Might be mike Malaska’s best contribution to golf!
The easiest thing to do once you become a great putter is forget the things that made you a great putter.🙄
Nice one-handed stroke!
This info is EPIC!
Thanks. Will give it a crack.
Cheers
good stuff
so true
open stance? r u sure?
Nice. Ty. Left hand low huh
Eyes are certainly a factor. My astigmatism gives the greens “rolls” that aren’t “there”....
Mike Malaska
Need chanGe that thumbnail good lord 😬
If golf is a game of misses why are we spending so much time trying to perfect the game?
