You left the bottom grate out of the twig stove. It’s my first time seeing your channel. Very cool to see an outdoors woman. You are what many a young man dreams of. Adventurous, confident, capable, physically fit, naturally attractive, articulate and intelligent in a non-indoctrinated manner. I checked out your other content and see some amazing accomplishments. I’ll be watching more after I finish this one. The twig stoves are designed to utilize that bottom grate. It helps hold them together and you can also move them more easily with a fire burning, though there’s seldom a reason to. You are quite a special young lady. Much respect to whomever raised you.
Was, well guess I still am, an Eagle Scout. My son is a Senior in HS and will finish his Eagle Scout soon. Both of us love camping. Two years ago we back packed 12 days at 12,500 feet for 73 miles. Love the outdoors. Hope you are well. Your friend in VA.
I came across this video by accident last week, but it interested me enough to watch most all of your other videos. I am finding them very entertaining. From the introduction, it sounds like you had a somewhat different upbringing than most of us and it seems for the better. You certainly know the value of hard work and really enjoy the outdoors. You also have a certain fearless quality as evidence by the video of you working on building the roof of the one house. And you have a certain MacGyveresque quality about you when necessary (not sure if you are familiar with the TV show). Not being inundated with social media for most of your life so far is not great loss. In your intro piece on some videos, you mention that you never went to public school. I am guessing (could be wrong) that perhaps you were home schooled. Keep up the great work and cool videos. But be careful not to burn yourself out being a RUclipsr. I have seen other influencers on YT have to take time off because the demands eventually overwhelmed them. Take your time and release videos when you are able - your true fans will stand by you.
I live in the Smoky mountains in TN. Iwas wounded in iraq and moved back in the mountains. Im not as fast or strong as i used to be but. Giving up on modern life and living off grid and as close to nature as i could get saved my life, i love the mountains more than anything, good to know there are still good people out there. Keep on keeping on and I'll keep watching. Ron
Coolio. Anyone that plays outdoors should practice these fun outings in a "controlled" setting. And for crying out loud, whether ya drive in the woods or walk in the woods...carry some basic necessities with you! Here where I live, stones from the creek can steam and explode...so careful. If ya have the time, energy and forest litter available, consider making 2 shelters. Depends on situation, right. In a "survival" situation any and all basic comforts are great for morale and overall success. Hopelessness is a killer. Remember woodcraft is not just an "indian" thing. People have been surviving on all lands for many many years and just because we now live in a pseudo reality...take pride that, you are stronger than you realize. Anywho, loved the vid. Love seeing young adults that still have the old world in them. Keep up the good work and thnx for the entertainment
I just discovered you and you're knowledgeable and fun! You don't talk over people and waste time piling stick after stick etc. Thank you for sharing and I'm checking out your other videos. New fan from Florida 🌴
Cool and good. It appears that you are alone and miles away from the nearest health centre. So, stay away from the snakes. My brave daughter, God bless you 💓
Would enjoy seeing your food source when in survival situations. You seem very knowledgeable about locally sourced foods. By the way you crack me up with the cussing, like a sailor at times. You’d be a blast in any hunting or fishing camp.
Let me just say that intro was awesome. The archery jump is everything! As far as social media goes, you're not missing much tbh. It seems like you have been living the good life with out it. Im glad you decided to join youtube though. You're a gem in the rough.
thank you. an enjoyable and informative video. i thought that was that snake going OK lets be friends its nice and warm in here lol. 1st time i have seen the fire place in a debris shelter.. very well implemented in design and using a twig stove 10/10
I love survival/shelter videos.. Especially ones that talk... This video is excellent for teaching people what to do if you get stuck out in the middle of nowhere with nothing but knowledge of how to survive. But if you are really going out with a plan on what to take with you I would pack a few tarps and blankets Have you done any videos on what should be a well equipped travel pack?
Survival tip Don’t play with snakes in a survival situation unless it’s going to be dinner. He might not be the snake you think he is🤔 Non venomous snakes are usually doppelgängers of venomous snakes.
If that garder snake lost an eye that would explain its aggressive reaction towards you; it feels vulnerable and at a disadvantage so aggressive action would be expected from him. Thank you for sharing this video it was very nice and helpful. 😊👍
Just subscribed. You certainly know your stuff. I was thinking all those dry leaves plus an open fire was rather a risk & then you pulled out that little stick stove - nice !
I truly love bushcraft videos 👍🏻👍🏻. I also appreciate the fact that you are not freaked out by creepy crawlys, lol😅. You said you didn't get a formal education, but I think you got the best education. I can't wait for the next video.
... Great Intro ... Good job on the debris shelter .. Only downside is common to have insects ,I.E. ,, creepy crawly bugs , ants , ticks and spiders .... With a little experience ,,which I'm sure you have ,, and a reasonably well equipped day pack ,, I'm sure you could easily be comfortable for a few days/nights if needed ... Agree ,, depending on season and conditions , fire ,, water and shelter are priority ... Stay Safe ... ... Best not to handle Toads ,, the glands on the back bumps secrete defense fluids that produce salmonella , a bacteria that can cause issues you don't want to deal with ... probably what caused the dog to froth ...
when I was a kid in NovaScotia, there was a retired wartime airstrip. I used to go hunting snakes in the drainage culverts.. garter snakes in all colors.. The striped orange/yellow were very aggressive.. I read somewhere, some can be mildly venomous.. not sure thats true.. How warm did the shelter get with the stick fire?
Hello 👋 from South Texas 🇺🇸Corpus Christi , Oh my name is Steven Quintero ,😎and I am a brand new subscriber 😊 oh fantastic job on your shelter..✨👍 I would to send you some of my favorite beer 🍺.. If you drink ? 🍺
i've done exactly this. its not the funnest or most comfortable, that is until you fall asleep. and it's amazing how much energy living like this gives you. but not for full time ofc. you do hear the creepy crawlies near you all night. they're attracted more to your heat than you and are smart enough to no bother you, so generally don't bother them. but you get used to it and fall asleep. no, you don't have to worry about stuff crawling inside you (ears nose mouth etc). though the most uncomfortable will have ear plugs or whatever.
I would suggest using Gloves. I always carry a 55gl trash bag. In choosing a camp spot; the three water channels in the terrain would also Funnel cold air Down. Personally I would have chosen the hill behind you. Neat little fireplace. What did you do with the couple gear bags outside? And the Archery Kit?
I don't want to make this content creator thing seem ridiculously overcomplicated but I have one small suggestion. This video dropped at like 5am central standard time and probably not too many folks catching vids at that time, which makes RUclips think it's not a popular video so it languishes in the algorithm. If you look at your analytics and see where the largest concentration of your viewers are watching from you can schedule your video to drop in the early evening of that time zone. That'll give you more initial views which will improve your ranking in the algorithm. Not a big deal, just food for thought.
"I don't like spiders and snakes, and that ain't what it takes to love me..." Google it, a song from decades ago. I'd crawl out of there covered in ticks! Nope! 🤣🤣🤣
That's so rare as to almost be an urban legend. Perhaps if you pull them from the actual running water and immediately slam them into a 5-alarm roaring fire, you might manage to heat them up so quickly as to make one crack open. But as someone who has tried to make it happen in multiple tests, plus looked up a few videos of people doing the same, it's pretty hard to achieve. The fire usually heats up the rocks slowly enough to steam away any moisture slowly. The 'explosions' (or fast cracking) occurs when the steam cannot escape fast enough, and fractures the stone along its weaker lines. You might find the one in a million that has an actual sealed pocket of water, where the only escape for the steam is a slow soaking through sedimentary rock, and the steam pressure can push it open fast. But that's a pretty specific confluence of 'perfect storm' circumstances.
No leaf bed f/ me... my bedroll is one of my must haves. Hats off to you ! I stayed outside most of my childhood... still, do NOT like SNAKES ! Mom like to never potty trained me 🤔 lol, ...jk
You will be totally covered in spiders and bugs ;-not for me thanks. I could never sleep in there knowing that there is a snake and spider nearby. Don't care if it's a harmless sngke or spider, don't want them near me.
Don't be stupid, I learned every fucking thing I needed to go get my physics, electronics and genetics degrees back in public high school!! You're just a flunkout loser!! I was raised in the woods of Illinois and Missouri!!

Hello Miss Fearless one great video.
Down here in Florida, if you cover up with that many leaves... you'll have 100 ticks on ya by morning. Enjoyed the video.
Here in PA too ... !
I think is the 2nd time I've subscribe to a channel after 1 video. Keep it up, young lady, and good wished to you.

poisonous snakes arent an issue in Canada, other than the south Okanogan BC, southern Ontario etc.
Cool video, not too many girls make a shelter out of leaves and sticks and handle frogs and snakes on youtube. You may have found your niche'.
Would enjoy seeing your food source when in survival situations. You seem very knowledgeable about locally sourced foods. By the way you crack me up with the cussing, like a sailor at times. You’d be a blast in any hunting or fishing camp.

Wow just found your channel!! So freaking refreshing!! New Sub here!!! Keep them coming!!
Just glad you didn't get bitten by the snake. I mean both snake encounters 😂
13:42 If I were you, I wouldn't try to light up a fire on dry leaves 😂. Especially, if my shelter is made from leaves and twigs. Be careful next time.
As everyone saw, she had a small fire contained in the area she made specifically for that purpose. No issues.
Amazing video!
You're pretty darn cool and sensible. I look forward to the next video.
Girl you ate more beautiful than you know i mean inside and out great content ❤️

Great job. I’ve studied and practiced bushcraft a lot. You know your stuff very good. What pants are those Fjallraven?
"I don't like spiders and snakes, and that ain't what it takes to love me..." Google it, a song from decades ago. I'd crawl out of there covered in ticks! Nope! 🤣🤣🤣
Check out firebox stove G5 twig stove. No assembly, just unfold. Firebox stove has Awesome products.
what brand of hiking pants are those
Aren't rocks collected in or by water prone to explode when exposed to heat?
It happened to me, but we had a bigger fire than this, but the sharp pieces of stone flying away, are dangerous. Fortunately nobody was hurt.
That's so rare as to almost be an urban legend. Perhaps if you pull them from the actual running water and immediately slam them into a 5-alarm roaring fire, you might manage to heat them up so quickly as to make one crack open. Normally there's nothing to worry about aa long as it's a small fire and the flames aren't actually touching the rocks.
I know nothing about foraging for foods in the wild. Glad you're sharing your skills.
I love your hair down gorgeous.

Passed 2013, this should be school. I had premonitions of climate misery on dec 31, 2014.
The next five years, people started losing it.
Have you read the book, Bushcraft by Mors Kochanski ?
Lucky you. You never went to a public Indoctrination Center , formerly known as public schools.
Don't be stupid, I learned every fucking thing I needed to go get my physics, electronics and genetics degrees back in public high school!! You're just a flunkout loser!! I was raised in the woods of Illinois and Missouri!!
Shut up, Meg.
