  • This was the first round of the International Motor Sports Association Camel GT Championship from Daytona International Speedway. As you can imagine, the field was stacked with talent, both in the driver pool and the cars themselves.
This is the coverage from Superstation WTBS with Ken Squier leading an equally stacked commentary lineup which included Dave Despain, Hurley Haywood, Mike Joy, and the great Chris Economaki.

The best part of being old is I was there as a kid. My dad took us to all Daytona (nascar, IMSA, bike week, races and Sebring

Thank you for this great upload!
I always watch those legendary races when I go to sleep.
They are so calming, there’s something magic of the autoracing of yesteryear.
The manufacturers build truly unique cars which each had design and technology of its own.
Together with the knowledgeable commentators it is just great to watch and truly comforts me in a cloud of nostalgia.
Thank you for making this possible with your upload :)

Great cars, great drivers, and great coverage! I’ve been to Daytona several times for the 24 race, but I wish I was there for this one!

Killer UL! Do you happen to have the 1987 Mid-Ohio race? Been looking for that one for years!
