Especially in the lower level of play people are not on the same page (engaging together, comboing abilities, etc.) - when the timer is going to hit 0 everyone throws everything they have at the same time. By default they're more on the same page than normal. That, and using "everything we have" often gets the job done.
Possibly. I'd add that the the vanishing of time makes the attacking team focus while it might make the defending team think: "It's almost over, they've lost every fight so far, they a not gonna make it now."

3 reasons I think it happens 1. When one team has been consistently winning every team fight and engagement people start to get cocky and put themselves out of position which gives the enemy team a distinct advantage. 2. Ult usage If the enemy hasn't built their ults or simply aren't using their ults then they can just spam as many as they can on the last team fight which generally is more than enough to win. 3. I I think really is a matter of were going to lose if we don't get on the objective so let's actually tryhard and play like a team.
Last fight is usually an ult bank fight, so it's 3-5 ults cooking on the point. Attackers only need 1 win and defense usually doesn't have the ult bank to withstand the spam coming.
