I like the buying setup. Everything makes perfect sense. The issue is when to sell. You should not wait until RSI gets to 10 or 90 depending on a Buy/Sell order. A stock may consolidate for weeks and then your are stuck. l use 6 MA as a sell trigger when price falls and BB when rises.

Just to add, I do use the 70 and 30 level on the RSI to identify where to buy/sell while respecting the trend. Add the 200 EMA and it becomes even easier.

You had said: when drawing trendline from peak of HH to peak of LH, that the line begining for the HH should be the highest of previous swing points. When you said all previous swing points how far back are you talking about? I'm a smallcap intraday developing trader. I have been using this strategy intraday on the 1min and 5min time frames. Price is only as strong as the volume that supports it. Market makers can manipulate price so price isn't king. Volume is king. Without volume price resorts back to the norm. Anticipation can come with volume not price. Recent Santa Clause rally was easily anticipated to come back down because of no volume.
Neither price or volume are king. Following volume, in my 20 years experience, has led to significant losses. You have to use other indicators and some supply/demand mentioned above to give you an accurate read.
When, I have checked this way of trading by using MACD, I found lots of opportunities are being missed and the wait time for this breakout is much long. so it is better to clear the time frame we need to use in this type of indicator use.
what's the win rate on 100 trades? has this been backtested? what's the average number of consecutive wins before a loss? it's all very well identifying a strategy, but until you know the win rate you're entering a risky move
Read my comment above. The way shown in the video will accumulate too many losses. Use the adjustment I describe and your win ratio should go above 70%. If your win ratio falls to 50% or below, then you're no better off then just guessing because a 50/50 ratio is no different than flipping a coin.

My experience is that for intraday forex trend trading most important relevant (Guide)trend direction is ON 15 minute, 1h and 4h charts only-- For intraday trading weekly & monthly trends do not matter much(too far removed from intraday field of activity) & can be ignored. For simplicity sake if 15 minute ,1h & 4h trends are in the same direction, you have a trade set up in the same direction (one could fine tune entry 0n 5 minute charts). In general if daily candle be in the same direction for any trade it is better but not A must.--Sir, what do you have to say ?

Following these indicator crosses more often than not leads to losses, the strategy usually works in your favor out of pure luck, at the end of the day trading always comes down to supply and demand in the market, it has always been that way since the beginning of time, the best strategy is always going to be waiting to enter or exit trade positions at key supply and demand levels, today people use indicators as if they are these magical tools that price action follows and respects, it is the other around, they are always lagging and will be plotted based on what price has already done, they are only handy to show a general direction in price.
I've tried to use that strategy 20 years ago when I started trading and found out the hard way (the expensive way) that your signals are way too late. If you're trading options this way, the market makers will suck up a huge portion of your profits and you'll be left with little profit. In your examples, you have to get out before your trend line crosses the signal lines. Once you've drawn the signal line, wait for the histogram to either max out or hit zero. Anything else and you'll get taken to the cleaners with heavy, heavy losses to your account.
@@markpickering7993 My best suggestion would be to figure out which one of those strategies gave you the best performance and make it work for you. There is no magic strategy and the strategy you do make work for you won't be viable for very long; things change. Do what you can. If you develop a strategy that works well, use it until you make your millions. Then give it to people. That is the best anyone can tell you. Anyone who promises high returns, I'd highly question and demand to see their trading log.
MACD is NOT a trend indicator. It's a momentum indicator. A lot of indicator gurus confuse momentum with direction. They are not the same thing. The MACD line is simply the difference (spread) between two moving averages. The so-called signal line is simply a moving average of the MACD line. The signal line is merely a smoothed version of the MACD line.

Yes, useless without this info! Also the chart he used as an example, something from 2013. He should use something recently, make projections and see if will work.

I've tried to use that strategy 20 years ago when I started trading and found out the hard way (the expensive way) that your signals are way too late. If you're trading options this way, the market makers will suck up a huge portion of your profits and you'll be left with little profit. In your examples, you have to get out before your trend line crosses the signal lines. Once you've drawn the signal line, wait for the histogram to either max out or hit zero. Anything else and you'll get taken to the cleaners with heavy, heavy losses to your account.
So in real life this doesn't work so well?
It cannot work in isolation. In other words, you must use other indicators and the price chart.

@@markpickering7993 My best suggestion would be to figure out which one of those strategies gave you the best performance and make it work for you. There is no magic strategy and the strategy you do make work for you won't be viable for very long; things change. Do what you can. If you develop a strategy that works well, use it until you make your millions. Then give it to people. That is the best anyone can tell you. Anyone who promises high returns, I'd highly question and demand to see their trading log.
MACD is NOT a trend indicator. It's a momentum indicator. A lot of indicator gurus confuse momentum with direction. They are not the same thing. The MACD line is simply the difference (spread) between two moving averages. The so-called signal line is simply a moving average of the MACD line. The signal line is merely a smoothed version of the MACD line.

Могу порекомендовать практически 100 прибыльную стратегию - MACD и ADX - когда MACD идёт вверх и D+ с ADX идут вверх (для большей уверенности D+ должна пересечь 20 уровень), то входим в лонг; для шорта - MACD вниз, а D- и ADX вверх. Плюс для ещё большей уверенности цена в эти моменты должна быть выше (лонг) или ниже (шорт) 50 ema.

Yes, useless without this info! Also the chart he used as an example, something from 2013. He should use something recently, make projections and see if will work.
