He sounds like he's almost crying the whole song. This just...wow. I literally have chills. This album was already raw and emotional, but this is completely incredible especially considering what happened the same day. And at the end, where he cried I (a teenage boy) got teary eyed. Blackie is my idol. And RIP Cliff!!!!!

I just read he had learned his brother had just died before they went on

Jesus this is incredible. I just watched the Donington performance of the same song... This destroys it. One of my favorite songs of all time... he left everything on the stage for this one.

This was hard to read as I myself have lost 2 brothers and I know what you are going through, Blackie. The Crimson Idol album are in my opinion one of the greatest albums ever written, and it's an all time favourite to me. :) You are the greatest, Blackie Lawless. Hold on to what you have and keep in touch with your siblings. I know by heart that you never truly know what you've got until it's gone..... and then it's to late. Take care, Blackie.

I too was at this concert and yes he was worn out be he gave it his all and the smile on his face during Blind In Texas I think really showed that he was really happy to be there and do the show after all. I have gained so much respect for Blackie since this show.

You're welcome. We feel the same way. It's hard and nice at the same time to watch. We were very enthusiastic during the concert. We were very moved by his voice (that's why we wrote 'goosebumps' in the description). Little did we know then. It was two days later (this was taped on friday) that we found out WHY it was so intense...

I loved this so much. Having been a WASP fan since the mid '80s and saw them live in '89 at the Hammersmith odeon in London, the Crimson Idol was always my favourite. What a great album and a great band.

I can only imagine how hard it must of been for Blacke to still perform during this sad time.I feel by the way he looks at the fans,he may of gained strenght from them, during the performance.Rock on BL :)

So sad for him, and then he went on and gave a fantastic show. Thank you Blackie for all you've done all these years, and thank you for showing me this ovd806...

The first reactions from the attending crowd after this concert was that they saw a worn out Blackie, uninterrested and not being there 100%. After reading this, it's no wonder, and one can only feel a deep deep respect for him that night!! Forever fan!!!

Take a close look at Blackie and see the sorrow in his face...
He actually had the bravery to perform after being informed of his brother's passing.
He gave it his all and sang his heart out as if he knew Clifford was watching him.
Blackie is not only my favorite singer or musician, he is my #1 artist. Period!
There's not one celebrity I look up to more than him.
This has to be one of the most memorable moments in W.A.S.P. history to me!

YOu got that right. That emotion was sensible during the whole song, but especially on that particular moment.

After reading your comment Blackie about if there is someone you love tell them, well \i sadly just lost my father and this incredible breathless pain I am sure you know only too well gave me the courage to tell someone that I am in love with him! Shame is he thinks distance and the past are reasons not to embrace the most fantastic gift on earth and one which can never be bought!! Thanks for sharing your heartbreaking story Blackie!

What an awesome performance! Such an underrated album and talent. I know there's lots of opinions on Blackie, but he's still worth every penny for the ticket. The man really poured his heart out on that album.
