LOVE this interview and message from Demi.☺️All I knew about South Africa growing up was that a few people at my church were originally from there so I associated it with being a country of believers. Truly a nation on fire for God. As a recovering perfectionist who was VeRY attached to being a straight-A student overachiever largely due to trauma, I love this message. We are children of God first and foremost. And our lives are for Him, and that’s how I have tried to live my life and what lead me to LA and this point in my life. Not always easy but just what I know I am here to do. Also, I went to UF when Tim was there. He was SO nice to my friends when they saw him on campus and of course wanted to meet him. He is truly an outstanding individual.😄👏👏
This was such a wholesome interview and got to see Demi on a different light. The meaning behind being THAT girl really touched me because sometimes I feel like I’m not not doing enough but all it takes is to make an impact on one person. Can’t wait to read Demi’s book. I’m ordering it now 🤎
Circumstances made me not to believe in God. I was abused all my life by people literally baring the cross while assaulting and laughing at me when I didn't know what big saint was celebrated that day or whatever (in Orthodoxy saint days and name days are a big thing) or even being punished for not fulfilling my religious responsibilities the way they wanted to. Aka. Being in church on my foot from dusk till the end of the service at least 5 hours later and with no breakfast since you had to take the communion with empty stomach. No seats available since only elderly are allowed to sit down and not kids. God didn't help me when my arms and nose were broken and no one would take me to the hospital. I was hoping for a fun podcast, not a rehash of attributing your successes to an entity that leaves other suffering for all their lives
