I'm in the same stage of life as you are Jen. My kids are finally all grown and we are now getting to take advantage of the freedom and starting to travel. I love watching your packing tips. I'm a heavy packer and trying to learn how to lighten the load and be more efficient. The Away products are on my wish list for sure!

Great ideas! Another fun idea would be to get one of the toiletry bags and fill it with the person’s fave products so they have a back up ready to go of most things! The kettle would be great for people traveling with picky babies too! I had mine used to room temp bottled water for their bottles but so many of my friends have to warm theirs up so that would be a great way to warm up the room temp water to the right temp!

I asked for the Away Everywhere bag for Christmas this year. I have lots of trips planned for 2023 and 2024 so I needed to add to my travel gear.
The Away sale right now cannot be beat. Their new colors are so beautiful. Toiletry bag is on my Xmas wishlist. 💖

The kettle is super cute, but still bulky for regular travel or carry-on. But if there are 2 tea drinkers I can see it. Or would be great for an RV. I always travel with a dual-voltage immersion heater (coil). Also boils the water but much smaller.

Great video, Jen! I love the Away toiletries bag, but the liquids bag is what I bought. I have the old style Away backpack as well as the old style Everywhere bag. I love the improvements but I'm loathe to buy new just for the sake of having new when the old still perform well.

Travelon also has a great hanging toiletry bag that is one half TSA liquid and one half regular stuff. I’ve used it for three trips this fall while travelling carry-on only in Canada and the US and it’s been fabulous! I don’t take a lot of makeup and use shampoo/body bars but if you’re a light packer it’s a great cheaper option than the Away one if cost is a factor. Love that new Away backpack and have my eye on it!

I love your review videos and especially on travel items that you have used and recommend. I know you stand by products you use. That tea kettle is amazing and such a good price. I’ve added that to my list and also as a great gift for others. The Away items are gorgeous and functional too but I don’t travel enough to warrant paying that much but I do know what I would splurge on if ever my circumstances change in the future. No Airfly Pro 😮 lol. Only mentioning it because I finally got to use mine and you were spot on! Made the inflight entertainment significantly more enjoyable being able to use my AirPods instead of wired headphones
We’ve been using ziplocks since 311 began. For our most recent trip, I decided to try the very bags you are showing - they were wonderful and far superior to ziplocks! I think I was actually able to get more stuff in the bags because they are stiff and you don’t get the everything-sinks-to-the-bottom-of-the-bag problem.
I'm so glad you said that as I have people tell me all the time that it's ridiculous to spend money like that when you could get a Ziploc and I'm like yeah, just no!
I'll be ordering one of the TSA bags and the palette.

Jen, since I travel mostly to the US from the EU to go home to my family, I always pack a lot of my toiletries in my checked bag. Mostly because when I do go home, I take advantage of the long vacations we get here in the EU. We start a job with 4 to 5 weeks, none of the building up as in the US. We get more than 2 sick days, but will need a doctors note if it is prolonged (in the hospital, etc), plus you do NOT say how you are sick, employers are not allowed to ask. You just say you are sick. Ooops off topic autistic rambling again.
I am a stickler for the rules about toiletry bags, because of living in the EU.
The tea kettle is not something we need here, but if I am traveling with my mother and sister in law, I will pick one of these up for the US travel. I put it on my to buy list while in the states.
As always Jen, I always love your travel videos. I am hoping the change in CEO in Disney will make Disney parks more affordable again for us lower middle class. Or should I say disappearing lower middle class.
Everything is nice, but I love that backpack and think it would be great to replace my everyday work totebag.

I think that may be an American expression. I come from a tea-drinking family. We always say, “put on the tea kettle.” We boil water for other drinks, too, so-you’re right-it is a bit much!

Jen, does the silicone ever make your products smell off at all in that organizer? I had something similar a few years ago and I always felt like my moisturizer had an eau de plastic to it.
Never. And I would stop using it if it ever did - I’m super sensitive to that as well

It’s tough and really comes down to what does she normally like? People who generally use a bag don’t usually like backpacks and vice versa. But I own both and go back and forth all the time so who knows 😂❤️

Never. The cap screws on tightly and even on a long haul flight zero issues.

I was so excited about the tea kettle until I clicked on your link to Amazon. The “sale” price is $40-not the $18 that was stated in your video. Did I miss a discount code or something? It really would be great for travel-but not for $40. 🤦♀️🤣

On one of your previous videos you talked about how you have travel anxiety…I absolutely love to travel and we do it often, so it never occurred to me that I also have travel anxiety and since we started to do carry-on only, my anxiety is so much better.
