To whoever is confused - In this game, basically the board is set up so there is a pin in every hole except the bottom one. How you play it is kinda like checkers, you can only move one peg at a time skipping another. Your goal is to get rid of as many pegs. If there is only 1 peg leftover, you are considered "genius".
Make the "Captain" the "First Mate", and the last piece the "Captain". The first mate runs around to make sure everyone is off, while the Captain continues to steer. This way the Captain is left to sink with the ship.

Should have been the captain
Just like the Costa Concordia captain lol

Finally, a video that's worth watching

Had a homemade one of these in my family for at least 50 years.. Played it hundreds of times. Gotta start from many different holes.
My grandpa made one of these back in 1970,had so much fun with this game
You've done it. Thank you for this.

Cool, how do you play the game?
You solve it wrong … the Captain is always the last person leaving the boat

The captain goes down with the ship. Maybe the deckhand does all the running?😂😂😂
