  • I made a small guide on how to connect to your harness while looking directly to your glider. This is a very useful technique if you don`t want to turn around for reverse launch.
    Please practice everything while groundhandling first and not on a launch site.
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    This is how I learned it in 2011. I still do it this way. Even if I start forward. Maybe you could reupload a shorter/more concise version if you like but this is the only best way to go.

      One small suggestion that I found helpful during my career:
      At 05:45 with the right hand you hold the brakehandle but this hand can at the same time grab the other brake-line (slight pressure only). This gives you control over both sides while your left hand pulls the A-risers. Whichever side comes up faster can be breaked/slowed easily like that.

Hier sieht man wirklich alles. Danke

    Thank you sooo much, this is really helpful, don't think twice about the ignorant negative comments...if they don't like it, they don't have to use these methods. These are the methods I learned on and sometimes, at least for a beginner, it gets confusing which way to hold, turn, etc. the risers. This was very helpfull...I will be downloading this into my library for future use. Thanks

    Very good idea and great way to expose the material!

    Thanks for the video I have been using the same technique for years. It works very well.The only difference is how I inflate the wing. No need to cross hands when inflating. Just grab the A line closest to your hand.

    Very clear and informative, very similar to Patrick Eaves' instructional video, but I think yours shows the twist/cross-over of the risers better.
    For a beginner, the stage-by stage approach is just great - one thing at a time!
    (small minus: you might think of correcting the spelling: breaks -> brakes, to -> too, but who cares about this nowadays?)

    Of course this video can`t show the whole real launching process. Of course you have to do your 5 step preflight check, but i can`t show everything in the video. It`s just a help to learn a new method of connecting nothing else.

    Tja..als Starkwindflieger gehts gar nicht anders....aber den gesteuerten Start mittel D-Leinen habe ich jetzt nicht gesehen ;-( , denn der gehört automatisch mit dazu....

    I only have a copyright on the video, because i made it ! What you do with the technique is up to you. Maybe u wanna modify it linux style *g*

  • @TheParabolous
    @TheParabolous  11 лет назад

    Nope i am right handed. The Image u see is exactly what i see when i start without any reversal or sth. I personally prefer to turn out on the left side that`s all. If u turn right after starting ur wing the whole process is the same but u turn ur riseres 180 degrees right instead left.
    Good help is: After connecting the upper riser has to be the riser in which direction u turn out.

    Frage: wieso hängst du die Gurte überhaupt aus beim Gurtzeug? In der Schulung mag dies als Übung noch Sinn machen, aber als Pilot bin ich am schnellsten in der Luft, wenn ich nur noch den Schirm auslege und quasi sofort starten kann (vor- & rückwärts) weil Gurte schon angehängt sind! Bei vielen Piloten am Startplatz kann dies von Vorteil sein.

  • @kevin11007
    @kevin11007 11 лет назад

    so are you left handed,or does loading the video up on you tube reverse the image?. great helpfull videos thanks.......

  • @TheParabolous
    @TheParabolous  11 лет назад

    Also bei mir isses so, dass ich so nen Packschlauch habe und da bekomm ich den Sack dann nicht ins Gurtzeug. Zumal mein Packsack eher schmal und lang ist und ich erst den Schirm einpacken und dann Gurtzeug drüber legen muss. Außerdem finde ich persönlich das Leinensortieren einfach wenn der Schirm nicht am Gurtzeug hängt. Ist aber vermutlich Geschmacksache ;)

  • @TheParabolous
    @TheParabolous  13 лет назад

    @4scope Jepp hast recht der is auch nicht drauf. Soll eher ne Anleitung sein wie man sich richtig einhängt ,ohne dass nach dem Ausdrehen großes Unglück entsteht. Hatte da am Anfang extreme Probleme und bin fast verzweifelt. Zum Thema Rückwärtsstrat bei Starkwind gibt es bei youtube ja genug Beispiele wie man die D bzw. sogar die C Ebene einsetzten kann. Wenn ich Zeit und Lust hab mach ich da viell auch mal nen Film !
    Hauptsächlich giengs mir darum dass die Leute beim Start weniger Stress haben.

    tell me, what is the speed risers for`?

    • @TheParabolous
      @TheParabolous  8 лет назад

      +Rúni Jacobsen The Speedsystem is attached to the riseres ... You can change the angle of ur wing by pushing it with ur feet while flying. Thats a way to speed the wing up !

  • @micmac7298
    @micmac7298 9 лет назад

    theis technique is ancient how can you copyright it? ;-)

  • @TheParabolous
    @TheParabolous  10 лет назад

    Sorry but u dont understand, the fact that ur right handed or leftahanded doesn`t matter for ur side of turning out. Most people snowboard with the left foot in front but they are right handed.
    It depends on which side u personally turn out after launch. I personally prefer to do it to the left side. Dont ask me why. But that has nothing to do with the fact that i am right handed.

    Never cross your arms when reverse launching.

    • @TheParabolous
      @TheParabolous  5 лет назад

      i started with crossed arms several Years. Its Ok because after turning out you are in the right position. Its ok to start like that. Today i don`t do that anymore, due to better Wing handling skills.

    • @haraldfauske1599
      @haraldfauske1599 2 года назад

      If its a bit windy, i guess it is better and safer to face the wing, so you can kill it if its start to inflate, being plucked and dragged isnt always fun

    that's seriously the dumbest paragliding 'skill' I've ever seen so far :D It's quite easy to figure out how to do it, but its just more time consuming and error prone than doing it... normally, so what's the point? Hopefully no beginner pilot is going to go that way...
