so I stumbled on this recipe two nights ago. it looked super easy and delicious so I got the needed ingredients. (except flour, he ended up using bread flour) we had a family reunion yesterday to go to and I was up all night with our newborn son, so by time my husband woke me up from my cat nap we had 45 minutes to get ready and go. hubby nervously made the cobbler while I fed and got the kids ready. It turned out amazing!!! my husband was walking around the family reunion grinning from ear to ear he was so proud of himself for baking this cobbler. since being home he has repeatedly talked about how none of it was left and the other desserts hardly looked touched. your recipe gave my husband some needed confidence in the kitchen and a very happy family, thank you so much! :-)
Wow SB! Thank you for giving us this terrific feedback. So glad to hear from you! Congratulations on your new baby. Y’all be safe. I hope you visit our channel again! 😀
God Bless! How refreshing to hear those words! Honor to God is the happiest thing to hear these days. I have a small amount of fresh berries I wanted to make a cobbler for my husband before he goes back out on the road, he's a truck driver. I had no luck finding a recipe for this last minute idea 💡 but I'm going to save this one for later! Thank you and God Bless you 🙏!
This recipe is the best!! Doesnt require too many ingredients and easy to make. I was looking for something that didnt use fresh blueberries and less work. My sons loved it and so did I!! Im going to try cherry filling next time also I brought the butter down to 1/2 stick and it was great and still had a nice rim of crispy buttery crust. Thank you and may God bless you!!❤😊
Wow. I made this last night when dinner was cooking. I used my home canned mixed berry pie filling. A full pint canning jar of pie filling was plenty. OMG was it great! Thanks so much!!!!
Oh , jill you have made my favorite blueberry cobbler the real way , down here. I have geez about 14 pounds of frozen blueberries , i took my 2 granddaughters to a pick your own blueberry farm The Sanctuary blueberry farm in Montgomery, Texas we brought our own pails , this was back in june . I think everyone needs to do this with their children & grandchildren ... I also love peach cobbler but ive used the can peaches in light syrup . My husband loves pineapple cobbler They are all made the same . Except ive found using frozen blueberries you need to mix them with of course sugar & flour and add an extra tablespoon of flour so its not so runny , My great Aunt taught me that ... God bless you & Mr. Greg . Stay cool its gonna be a scorcher at least i ssw the next 10 days 102-106 without the heat index ... I love looking back at your older videos . Thank you for taking the time to make all these to teach thousands of people the real southern way ..... When i see a stick of butter going in the pan to melt , I know its the best cobbler coming up lol. Have a beautiful week , My oldest son has to take me to see my Lung doctor for our insurance to get a new oxygen concentrator , its not working right & this company is horrible wont send me nose canulles you have to change out every week , so my Specialist is changing companies but you have to go in for a 6 minute walk without oxygen ,i told the nurse i guarantee I will be in the 80's if not 77 % she said then you wont have to do the test & they will have oxygen waiting for me as i dont even have any tanks with this heat . . Now my husband told me his assistant has covid , he had called in yesterday with a fever after he was on vacation with his wife up in Dallas , so my Doug hasnt seen him since last tuesday . This is why im on oxygen from catching covid not this xmas eve , xmas eve 2021 , we had never got it , an he had to work a half a day and he is NEVER SICK an will be 60 next week , He had a fever of 102.5 and I knew . It was that Christmas everyone was getting it seemed & you couldnt even get tested at CVS ETC for days, so our oldest son is a chief at a fire department in houston and on the safty board, so we drove down there that monday after xmas and yeap he had C , but i came up negative, but next day I woke up with 103.2 fever and im not in good health like him . I ended up with pneumonia with nebulizer machine , him to but he kicked it fast it ruined my lungs and normally i dont need the oxygen during the day only at night once i got better , but with this heat its been dropping horribly .. I pray everyday we dont lose our electricity also ... Getting back to your yummy cobbler , We love it with real vanilla bean icecream. Yummy . Now im gonna have to make one tomorrow after i get Home. God bless you all & geez i pray his assistant gets over it fine , he has had it now 3x and its hurt his lungs also .. Big hugs Mrs josette Tharp Montgomery County, Texas 🙏 ❤️

Drip irrigation for the blueberries. I grow them in SE okla in full sun. Just have to keep the ground moist. Lots of pine bark mulch to shade the dirt. I have around 80 plants that get neglected sometimes.
Hey Jillie! and Happy New Year to you. Just made this cobbler with Peach Pie Filling and added only a couple of drops of that really good REAL vanilla and it turned out yummy rich. Do you remember the brand and color white that your husband painted your upper kitchen cabinets? They look so beautiful and fresh. That is a project for me sometimes this year. Have a super day!

Very nice (and fun) video !! I'm going to cut all the ingredients in half to make an 8x8" pan. I must say tho that I "do" wonder why the full recipe calls for SO much salt?? Seems like a teaspoon is an AWFUL lot of sodium for a dessert.
