Blueberries are my ultimate favorite so you know I will love this and blueberry cobbler. Thanks for the tip on the wild blueberries that you think they have more of an intense blue berry sweeter flavor. Yes I agree with you lemon zest with some juice is always a must in making blueberry cobbler. Cooking the blueberries in advance are a must as you say I agree with you especially since you want to thicken them with that cornstarch slurry. You always do great latticework and you must always have homemade frozen pastry shells in the freezer. I can’t wait to make this

Hands down this is a real cobbler! All the other's are dump cakes not cobblers! My Grandma was from Poland back in the 70s she always had one of these on the kitchen counter! She came over here during the Potato famine in 1840 I still have the farm house she lived in! Great memories even though it's haunted! To close to the Church and graveyard 🪦 but if you want to rent it out for the weekend I have a cobbler waiting for you💕😂

I want my cobble nice and sweet too so I'm right there with you, Parnell. When working with fruit, it's always a gamble. I made fresh cherry pie a while back and wish I would have tasted it before baking - it was really sour -just inedible -so time and ingredients wasted!! I didn't cook it first as you're doing here. I will have to do that next time. Why have I never added the pastry to the filling!!??OMG! Mind blown!
