@@theplumbersplungersure. I install similar units. Plumber i apprenticed under taught me to install my own service loop, in addition to whatever bypass is provided at the unit. Doesnt matter. Billion guys will do it three billion ways.
@@Top1a1service loop is for when the bypass valve goes bad and parts are a week out. Flip a few ball valves, leaking part is isolated, homeowner still has fresh water albeit non softened/descaled/whatever, and no leak.
I honestly don't trust those loops to help soften the whole house so I just always install softners/ filters by the service main before it enters the home
“I like to leave extra space for the fittings.” Cuts them at 3 inches
There is enough space to cut it out and redo it. Also, customer wanted it as close to the wall as possible.
i would have argued the fact that now you have to do drywall work in case of future upgrade@@theplumbersplunger
He did say he tries to get it as close as possible. We don't always achieve the things we try
Does that air gap have a filter or screen on it to keep debris or bugs out?
No
Shut go right to a trap. Let them go on in. 😂
Probably could look back, but what state and if Florida what county are you from. Just for my future repairs. Thanks
No carbon filter?
What system is better salt or salt less water softener
Salt
GFCI outlet?
No bypass loop? I will not install a filter or any type of filtration system without one
You can put the unit into bypass by closing the 2 valves on the power head
No service loop?
There's a built in bypass valve
The bypass is built into the back of the system

Should be using rock salt not the pellets. The bonding agent can build up in the brine tank.
The crystals are what we always see stick together. We tell our customers here to use the pellets so it won’t bridge.
