Jill Parker is the founder of the modern Tribal Fusion belly dance phenomenon, birthed out of San Francisco California in the mid-90's. Jill was an original member of FatChanceBellyDance, and founder of Ultra Gypsy Dance Theater, the trail blazing company that birthed such great dancers as Rachel Brice, Sharon Kihara, Lady Fred, Rose Harden, and countless others. With nearly three decades of experience, Jill has trained the top belly dancers in the genre and influenced a generation of belly dancers with her modern innovations, all the while remaining deeply rooted in her connection to the traditional, sensual, and authentic.

omgosh, that was stunning. And most of all -- I love the body diversity, showing how beautiful and interesting our movement vocabulary is on any body.
OMFG! I got chills from the first moment the lights came up and then I felt like I wanted to do fist pumps in the air the whole time. I think this was my favorite dance in the whole show. Y'all have so much strength! Every dancer in this group seriously brought it!!
I lived in SF in the late 90s til around 2005. It was an amazing time. I had a roommate that bellydanced then, sadly lost her to cancer, beautiful soul inside and out. Fatchancebellydance was the bomb. 🥰

How did they pull this off publicly during a pandemic? (May, 2020) Was it pre-recorded? I'm just curious.
Our shows were literally the very last public events in Mid March 2020. The very next day the city started shutting down. It was a small miracle that we were super grateful for.
