Excellent comparison - exactly what I was looking for. The LC80 just looks so great (both the body and the wheels), but the TRX4m is just the better car. Plus it has an exploding amount of accessories all the way up to brushless setup from Furitek (if one is ready to take the plunge as the investment will quickly add up). I really hope to see some cooler bodies for the TRX4m (though the stock ones are not bad at all). And if I were to have a wish - I would prefer at least part of the track without the background music to also hear the models. Apparently the FMS is a lot more whiney. Thanks for the video.
what im noticing with my fms is it looks like i can swap out the motor super easy with a scx24 injora motor🤙 im slightly wondering if the electrical low gear will still work okay but thats exciting!
If anyone is trying to figure out which one to get. My person opinion is the trx4m. I’ve spent less time with it but it seems much more capable then the fms yota. It’s not as scale but it makes up for it by its performance. Also all the upgrades with the trx, it’s almost never ending lol. Cool video, would prefer less music and more of the car or maybe some commentary on your opinions on it.
Both are good brands and both have their pros and cons. Nevertheless, both are extremely fun and very capable packages. I have both the Traxxas TRX-4M Land Rover Defender and the FMS Toyota FJ Cruiser. The one thing I've noticed is that with the Traxxas I get a longer battery runtime than I do with the FMS. I get about 45 minutes in the FMS still not bad and the battery compartment under the bonnet can be tricky to get the battery in and out of. I will say the FMS FJ Cruiser is near unstoppable. It definitely is funny having the turn signals come on when you're steering while off-roading. Lol
The better car was the FMS Toyota FJ Cruiser. Because at the time the TRX4M hadn't come out yet. And because I bought it on Banggood for half the price of the TRX
#Fms sent me a broken truck a month ago and still had not made it right. I now have a giant paper weight. Traxxas would have had it fixed and on the trail already. #TRAXXAS for the win.
That and that it lacks oil filled shocks. If you look at some mods for oil filled shocks and adding weights to the chasis to lower the center of gravity, it loses that bad wobble and looks a lot more scale! :D
Please say you're not prepare these two trucks together because the gray truck is that from I don't know the name of it but I know it's got a few more upgrades but it is nowhere as nice as a Traxxas in fact it's Gordy not even the yellow in that truck is good looking is progressively dried

The FMS is the SCALER, the Traxxas the Performer with a nice hard body. Got both...
I was getting motion sickness watching that FMS Toyota "bounce" all over the terrain. Defender looks like a better ride & crawl.

I love my TRX4M. It's a lil beast. I like it so much that I just got the TRX4....Traxxas is amazing.

I have both and I think they're both awesome
They seem fairly evenly matched. The Traxxas has better shocks the FMS has better scale detail.

It’s really obvious how much better the oil filled shocks are, I’m a massive wpl fan and looking for shocks now, they will really help the roll overs

Actually trx4m is 150$ fms is like $160 even tho it's on sale at the moment for $139 on their site. So they're both costing the same
