Wow, didn't expect a 5minute intro about the most beautiful language in the world! Greetings from Poland!

Thank you so much for this discussion! I tend to a melancholic temperament, but do not feel "depressed". However, i have a friend who has a very choleric temperament and she cuts off any discussion about anything she considers negative. To me, it is just a discussion of reality and does not need to be,sugar-coated. But the discussion is halted. To me, appearing happy and bubbly ALL the time goes against truth. I am joyful , although not " bubbly ", and have a good sense of humor. I think this mitigating against truth and appropriate emotion is a kind of soft tyranny.

As someone who is making an attempt to return to or more to deepen my faith this was very enjoyable and I like the way it was done , when I was younger you wouldn’t really see two priests having a laugh and a joke with each other playfully if almost summer as if they were very stoic

Awesome! I cringe a bit when Christians view all sadness as spiritual warfare.

You just memorised a homily in polish when you don’t speak polish , erm that’s absolutely amazing 🤩

Good, very helpful, but I also thought you may have covered some of what St.Thomas taught on despair and the like

I was just thinking that you should have had Eeyore sitting there with Winnie the Pooh for this episode and then you mentioned him.

How can I be sad when the episode host is Fr. Bonaventure? 😁 Amused by how he pictures the Polish language haha

Yes, you are melancholic and at times taciturn, and pensive Fr. Jacob

Father Bonaventure always has the most curious videos. I took the personality test, and it turns out that I am a Phlegmatic, INTJ. It is kind of sad that the Creator doesn’t seem to find it productive to make many male phlegmatics or INTJs. I suppose a Garden of Gethsemane populated with mostly phlegmatics would have an economic system characterized by an abnormally low natural interest rate (

I love this podcast, and I love this episode. But every time I hear Fr. Bertrand Janczyk talk about the correct pronunciation of his name, I cringe. It is 'Yan-chick' not 'Jan-tsick.'

Father Bonaventure: back to the library. You seem so “academic” with this topic. Judging the moral quality of sadness is an odd subject anyway. Your dealing with the humors is amusing. I think of Balanchine’s ballet to Hindemith’s Four Temperaments. And Bernanos, The Diary of a Country Priest.
