So glad you got interested in showing what you do on video, thanks to Dave Engel for that. I have followed along for every episode and have enjoyed them all. Thanks.
Rick, I think you are my long lost father. Can I get a lamp too? Kidding. I've watched all of your video's. Repairing is an art and so is creating a lamp. You are one talented man. Thanks for sharing.
Rick, i checked every video you had loaded up not only from time to time. Your work is like an art to me. Working with the hands gives me and other more peace at the end of the day then to be a doctor, a lawyer or any other job where you had to study for years. Specially in Europe. When there would be no people who can work with there hands all will go down. ;-) Thank You for showing us your work.
Been with this build from the start. I have to say been glued to the screen and watched in awe. Wow and awesome doesnt begin to do this series justice, but its a great place to start. Thank you so much for sharing your time and craftsmanship with us!!!!!!!
Rick, thank you for taking us along on this beautiful project. The lamps are absolutely beautiful. After Dave recommended your channel I have not missed a video. This has been a very worthwhile channel to watch, you have brought a lot of western history to the forefront. Thank You.
I have been enjoying your craftsmanship as you have been creating these beautiful lamps. They are real gems. I had no Idea what the process was. I started watching since the Engles Coach episode you were with Dale. Your video and editing have created a program easy to watch. Thank you. I live in north western PA.
Such beautiful lamps, Rick. It's fascinating to see the careful, precise assembly and polishing work. Thanks. Wish the videos were longer and weekly, since I could watch these for hours!

Great work, Rick, a pleasure to see your progress on these lamps, and finally the finished product! What an excellent job, and it’s great to see you keeping up the tradition of coach lamp fabrication.
Evening Rick, thank for your time in making these interesting videos. When I have a job where multiple components need to be in line with each other, I find setting them up in the drill press, i.e. using it as a jig very helpful, get them all lined up to each other and vertical, then lightly nip them with the quill ( I'm able to lock mine) more often than not, it's a glueing , but it works fine when soldering, Regards.
Thank you for sharing with us the details of making such beautiful lamps with those fine old tecniques. I have been working (for hoby) with belgians myself, (just one at the time) so I also enjoyed the recommanded video's. Thank you for sharing.
These turned out very nice! I wasn’t able to follow along for a few videos, but I was glad to be able to do so this time. Looking forward to your next project!
Prices in the upper 3000's seems like a bargain now that we know how much time, skill and work that goes into the manufacture of these works of art. Thank you for making us smarter and for taking us along on your workshop journeys!
Rick these are truly beautiful!! Thanks for taking us thru the process as it was neat to see all the steps that go into making them. And I suspect you’ll probably be making alot more in your “spare time” lol for them with these videos being out there. Cant wait for the next project.
I've watched from the beginning, and am totally amazed when I see the finished lamps lined up in perfect order and truly beautiful. You must take a great deal of personal satisfaction at your accomplishment. If you don't, you should. The retail price of those lamps may seem high to some, but as a part of the rigs that they go on, they are a reasonable addition. Regards, Solomon
Uh, that’s the price I expected. So no nice Lamp for my porch. But given the amount of work it’s reasonable. The hearse at 17:34 is killer, absolutely love it. Talking about „The Last Ride In Style“ 😉. So now I need one of these and a band playing „Saint James Infirmary“ for my own funeral. I guess my heirs won’t be pleased when they read my last will 😄, but hey. You can’t take it with you when You’re gone.
EPIC, CONGRATULATIONS, All that a dream needs to be realized is someone who believes that it can be realized., LOIS BERNARDES, JARAGUÁ DO SUL; SC, BRAZIL
What a project. Beautiful results and a gift for the family. Understanding the process and amount of work makes the price much more understandable. Is there a story behind the number of lamps? Didn’t you start with 8? Or maybe not. Thanks for the videos.
If you divide the price by the labor hrs., (not to mention what the platers charged for the Ni plating and polishing), they are very fairly priced! Nicely done.
Rick, can you tell us what flux and solder you use please. It would make a good video I reckon, kind of a how to. I know you have done that in the past but I didn't catch the flux details if you mentioned them. I have a mate that has a 1913 T model Ford and he wants me to fix his brass lamps. Am in Tasmania, Australia so a bit far away to send to you I'm afraid. Love your work. Cheers, from Glenn.
Have you considered using grommets where the wires go through the metal. This would prevent chaffing the wires and causing an electrical hazard? Thanks.
The grommets are in the plastic bag around 12:00 on for a little while. You are right, I didn't show that step but there are grommets before the lamps are done. Thanks for watching!
You have Budweiser Clydesdales as customers? Well that's the top of the food chain! Only better would be the Queen of England, but good luck with that, they're still miffed over that whole revolution thing. Besides, they are self centered .
I looked at suggested vid. No to pounding drums and swirling whooshing intrusive background shit. No Rick awful vid production I didn't like at all. May be you could dare to tell them!!!
This Little Light of Mine.....perfect music for the homeward stretch!
It's not very often you see a masterpiece Rick.
I've just seen your work bench covered with them.
Brilliant work.
Take care & stay safe.

Amazed at how intricate each lamp is! I guess that is where the term “Craftsmanship” began! Beautiful work!
A true Artisan and great Craftsmanship... 👍🎉
Artisan is a better word.
Thank you very much!

Golden hands, that's what you brothers, you and Dave have inherited.
I agree with the "golden hands" from these brothers-in-law. 😉
Superb quality and not easily manufactured. The customer will not be disappointed.
That is some beautiful work! It was a pleasure watching you make them, thanks for sharing your talents and craftsmanship.
👍👍❤️
Rick, what a wonderful ending to this series, those lamps turned out beautiful. You are a true craftsman/artist
