- Anne Akiko Meyers and Marta Aznavoorian perform John Williams' "Schindler's List" live at the WFMT studios for an "Impromptu" concert. Ahead of Anne's performance of the Barber Violin Concerto with James Gaffigan and the Lucerne Symphony Orchestra at the Ravinia Festival. August, 2019. John Williams recently selected Anne to perform this work when he was honored for his lifetime achievements by the Grammy Foundation.

Dear Annie, I cry every time I listen to this clip. The depth of your emotional understanding of this theme is approached by many. Your artfully nuanced playing is unmatched. What a transmission of 1000 feelings at the same time... The real musician are they who make others FEEL, rather than just listen
The tone of her violin gives the piece more emotion and sadness than any other performance I've heard. Anne's playing is masterful! I am very partial to Itzhak Pearlman playing this, his Stradivarius has a lighter, sweet tone, but I love the emotion in the sound of this performance.
The depth of sound from Guarneri del gesu suits this piece more.

I love it when she plays with just piano accompaniment and not a large orchestra that drowns her out.
