Ben, your channel is what actually got me to open ae. I had been messing around in premiere forever, but i came across your puffy smoke animation tutorial and have been watching your content ever since. Thank you for teaching me to animate designs and always label my layers. Cheers!

Haven't watched it yet, but I know it's a great video!
Haha thanks so much :D
that's what you get with quality channels like Ben's
Currently trying to come out of a “complete creative shut down” I found this presentation EXACTLY what I needed. I’ll definitely be thanking you forever when I get out of it. You’re amazing! Happy holidays
Best tips! Thank you, Ben! Happy holidays!!!💫
As always, Ben you are an amazing artist!
Thank you for being so generous with advice!
As always, love watching this channel. So much content and each time I learn a lot of things. Love you Ben..
Thank you Ben for readily supplying info, entertainment, and inspiration.
Thanks for the tips, Ben! You are one of my biggest inspirations😊🤩
I started to let the numbers of subs and views get to me recently. This video helped refocus myself. It was exactly what I needed to hear. Thanks so much Ben!

Been following you for two year, thanks Ben!

Love it! Thank you for the advice
Once again, thank you Ben! Top content/motivation
I love your sense of humor !!!
As an hobbyist animator with a project in mind, I totally agree with every point in the video. Great job!
this talk really inspired me when i watched it, and I'm working on my first personal short film now. i actually wanted us to talk about it on my channel together.. But thank you so much for the talk, Ben.😀😀😀😀😀
I was needing this, thanks again Ben !
You're welcome!
As always, thank you for sharing your knowledge! 😁❤️
Thanks so much for watching!! :D
Thanks for the great tips, Ben! I'd love to hear more on how you follow #s 3 & 4. Would also love to hear you discuss personal projects with peers of yours too.
So sweet! Loved it
I'm just a very very small channel, but I think the lottery ticket metaphor is so important. Consistency is the hardest thing when you're still small because you won't see the rewards for quite some time.
You’re the best Ben!
Couldn't be more true about time management in the beginning...
Damn Ben. So Chill on stage. 👌
Impressive.
Thanks a lot, these are great tips for a great price 😉👌
Haha, the best price!
You reminds me of Andrew Price. Keep up with the great job man!
Awesome
Thanks so much for watching
Cenario massa einh fera. Nice A4

3:03 When you edit your own big lecture but you leave a little burp anyways 😅
Killer presentation! I bet people in the audience became new subscribers
big brain energy
Ben I love and appreciate your videos so much. I've learned a ton. But one question that may be silly is, how do you find a personal project, or decide what you want it to be?
I'm in love with your channel (you're so cute and talented🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰)
Finally, the video where we can compare Ben's two haircuts!
Watchmen is so good
Great
Thanks my friend :)
I CAME AGAIN AS SOON AS I HEARD
WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN?! :D
I am late you. Changed my name A.R... It was night time XD... Nice presentation...This will motivate lots of people including me... I am also struggling in freelance motion design, Still learning . Hope to achieve my goal one day
okay, but how do I get ideas for Personal Projects all I see in motion graphics all they are ads and explainer video and some text animation on promoting videos...
No, but seriously, how DID they make grain in the old days??
This is great, but when is the RGB screen tutorial coming? I'm getting tutorial blue balls over here
Haha, that one should be out in January, sorry for the Blueballs
@@BenMarriott No worries, I'm just as excited about it as the dang vaccine
My goal is 1M, but i know that it will take me forever, but hopefully i can learn alot :)
Good luck my friend!!
I have infinite time for personal projects, and I made dozens.
But no matter what I cannot seem to get anybody seeing them.
It's hugely frustrating......
Where my musicians at!? 🙋🏾♂️🙋🏾♂️🙋🏾♂️
You look like zylbrad
people who are successful only share the 10% of their experience that worked for them not realizing, especially in art, that the other 90% is luck. Hunter Biden selling garbage art for $500k is an example of this. Thinking you have any control over the success of your business (after you put in the work) is like thinking you can control the weather. After mentoring 3 different artists by these same DEADLY SIMPLE workflow tips mentioned in this video, the same ones everyone tells everyone to use, NONE of those artists saw the results others did. That is posting meaningful branded content 3 times or more a day, plus audience engagement and tutorials. Not to mention, follows do not equal sales. The best advice you can give an artist who is not willing to spend every cent working on their craft is to quit. not enough successful artists are telling others to just quit. their failure to commit dilutes the pool. not everyone can be good let alone successful and more than most are after clout. And no one mentions the obscene amount of gates you have to go through just to see a fraction of these results, including the fair concept of sticking to your personality instead of trying to appease everyone in the way this process suggests.
here are my tips that worked for me, a person who hates the 9-5 model of artistry (which seems a lot more like school or prison rules than anything)
1 ask yourself if you are willing to practice something to get great at it no matter how long it takes
2 stop caring about clout or financial incentive. throw that concept right into the trash. if your commitment to artistry hinges on this, you're not an artist, you're a clout chaser.
3 when money comes in a form that would compromise your vision, ask yourself if you can learn anything from the experience, if not, say F NO
4 if you have lots of ideas and not just one repetitive thing that instagram demands you do, put it under one conceptual umbrella, to make it easier to focus on it as contributing to a grand design.
5 if anyone tells you you're unfocused because you aren't posting everyday or teaching people like this video suggest, remind them that none of that matters, the only thing that matters is your vision.
6 if you find yourself jealous of others, stop engaging in the activity (that might mean deleting your social media account)
7 if you have been posting a pic or vid everyday of the same type of art for the last 3 -12 years, its not art, its a job. that's ok, but its not art.
8 if this is a career choice (and there's lots of money out there, don't be fooled) if anyone including close friends ask to collaborate with you and restrict you from being famous in any way, such as not promoting your collaboration, CUT THEM OUT IMMEDIATELY. other people will absolutely sabotage your success due to their own insecurities.
9 most artists live very lonely lives. the less people you interact with, the more time you have to work on your craft.
10 you'll have to sacrifice your other interests if you intend to make an impact.
11 the higher your prices, the higher your command of money. price is chosen by the seller not the buyer.
12 just because you're an artist doesn't mean you owe anyone anything. take care of yourself before you take care of others.
13 if teaching isn't enjoyable, don't do it. if it is enjoyable, become a teacher, it pays more.
14 the art business is a competition, not a community. every eye on this video is one less eye on someone else's.
there are probably a hundred more real tips that aren't just the same old "trust the process" bs that is outdated and a one way ticket to bland slave labour for the corporations.
just remember, just because you're not creating everyday or sharing your process, does not mean you won't be successful financially or otherwise.
this video should just be called "how to be a 9-5 youtuber in 2021" don't forget to post at the same time everyday, little potato!
please turkish sub dude i am english is not good
i really watched video
but I want to understand more
...
you had a better haircut, bro (let's be honest:)
Haha, I couldn't agree more
