Putting my stash in Ravelry has been very helpful. It doesn’t completely stop me from bringing in new yarn, it helps. I also put my stash in Ravelry when I was moving. Like you said, you have to move the yarn around anyway, so it is the perfect time to catalogue it. I remember watching a yarn stash video of yours years ago.
Indeed! I’m very happy I took the time and effort to sort everything pre moving. An well organized yarn stash is a wonderful reward🤩

Wow, Ina. You have done some super organizing. I wish I had your motivation to get my stash on Ravelry. I imagine it would be super helpful. In the meantime, I'll just glance at my bins when I go downstairs and think longingly of being super organized.
You have so much beautiful ( meaning GORGEOUS) yarn ❤❤❤ It just makes me excited to see all the yarns out there that I still haven't tried ...and want to! I am afraid of pulling all of my yarn out to record on Ravelry (tho I want to as it's a good tool) but I am encouraged by how you have done it. Thank you !

Very cool to see! I recently did the same thing, gathering it all up and organizing.
I think the best thing of adding to Ravelry stash is that "5 ideas in my stash" link. Clicking on the "used 'x' times" under each yarn brings up all the projects others have used that yarn for. Then you can see how it looks, what their notes were on the suitability of the yarn for the project, how many skeins they used (like ok 6 50 gram skeins is enough for size 3), what a colorway I have looks like knitted up, etc. I try to input new purchases into Stash, but having even one ball of a yarn will show it in the 'ideas in my stash' on any pattern.

Hi, Ina. I had a huge stash that I have edited significantly over the last few years. I gave tons away. Now I am left with a workable stash that occupies a few shelves in my craft studio. Other than purchasing some Holst Titicaca to hold double with other yarns I have on hand, I have not bought any yarn in over a year. Although seeing all of your wide variety of exquisite yarns has definitely given me yarn envy. You have truly stunning yarns and I am tempted to locate a few of them. Thanks for a delightful video.
You have been very good at destashing and knitting up from your stash! I’m impressed👏🏻😀 Allthough I haven’t really bought much myself lately, I’m quite inspired to deep dive even more into the yarns I have and make use of what I got. Love it, Ina! It can be so overwhelming to step back and see all the stash at once. I always say I’ll live forever because I have to knit through my stash! 😂. Looking forward to Part II. Also wondering what that last project was with the green and ivory yarn towards the end of the video in the sped up section. Looked like a big “X”.
