Huge management is the key to a successful herd. It was amazing watching the doe smell you out. But it didn't spoke her enough to leave. Good job Cody

Another great video. Culling female deer is a daily practise in the UK and Europe and we are constantly amazed when we hear of American hunters insulting those who adopt a management strategy that creates a balanced population in harmony with the natural carrying capacity of the land without creating environmental issues. Keep up the good work. Your results speak for themselves.

Great video. Dodge is on it. I’m glad you take the time to teach Cody stuff so many people say kids aren’t old enough to do something that’s when you need to teach them when they’re young. That Rose is a good looking puppy 👍

If you don't thin your herd your horn size will go down, also you'll have too many does to buck ratio. In years when not a lot of food more does you have more competition for graze and acorns then somebody gets left out most times it's the young does and bucks . Also when the older does sometimes they Have fawn next might not keep the young ones. That way the herd stays strong and healthy that was the way my grandfather explained it to me I might be wrong but makes sence

That's one of the problems we have here in North Carolina. Everyone wants to be buck slayers and no one realizes you've got to thin these does out if you want to see bigger bucks in our area. I wish the wildlife association would hold classes for hunters so we all can understand what we need to be doing to improve our herds. We pay so much money in licenses that they ought to be able to afford it.
