Ahhh I see, thank you so much! So the genome of the 2 populations of rats in UK and US will be the same? Also, could you make videos covering A level biology topics as well? I have my exams next month and your videos will be a perfect revision tool.
I'm not an expert in genetics but I *think* genome refers to an individual, not a species. So, for example, in the human race, only identical twins have the same genome as each other. (So, no, in the rats example, they would not have the same genome - I think I gave a bad explanation in my first response). A gene pool refers to the alleles in the population, but the genome refers to the sequence of bases (A, T, C, G) that make up a cell. I hope this helps? No A level biology from me any time soon, I'm currently working on my KS3 science resources. Good luck with your exams.
❤tnx so much aap itna achhe se smchhate h ki sab achhe se samchh ata h best teacher in the world
Lifesaver! Thank you so much for these videos. Please please do more for other topics in ESS. You explain things so well!

saved me from watching a 2hr lecture again. THANK YOU!
Great video, thank you!
Can you explain the difference between gene pool and genome? I find the two terms very confusing..
