Hello,I am a long time subscriber of yours, today a had a problem with a transaction on my LEDGER . I have recordings , I send a transaction of $100 dollars worth of bitcoin and that transaction went correctly but with that same transaction ledger withdrew $29,253 dollars worth of bitcoin to another wallet addres tha i did not authorize,i contacted support they ran around in circle for a while until they restored my money back, I have recording with hash # , I think it will be good for a video , if you would like I can send you what I have ande you can judge for yourself, I think it will make very good content, thank you.
Yes, I really loved the E ink display on this shield bio card. So much easier to read than those old LED displays that have digit sections. The ledger STAX supposedly will have a large E ink display, but ledger is apparently having trouble manufacturing these to scale. I found the one on the shield bio to be very reliable & readable
I'm planning on doing a review later tonight on my Saturday Night Live stream. But in short, I love the E ink display! but I find the menu controls to be a little difficult to use. Also, I'm a little disappointed that they don't support Solana or Cosmos (but that can be fixed with updates). But other than that, I have an overall good impression of the wallet.
Hey Rex, great review. I like this wallet. I have the Nano S currently. Not terribly concerned with the seed phrase issue with Ledger. That said, it seems no upgrading the chip is needed for the SecuX? Also, what configuration would you use? Ledger for moving semi-regularly (ie. every few months) vs. SecuX for long term storage, or the other way around?
Actually they do have a firmware updater app: apps.apple.com/us/app/secux-firmware-update/id1584946806 Either the ledger or the SecuX are suitable for long term storage.. But if you're going to be using the secuX on the go, it's probably more sensible to only carry around working crypto or crypto that you're planning on trading if you're wanting to make a quick trade on the go.
Not sure if this is a dumb question or not but I tried looking it up on their website, can you use the wallet like a credit card with the chip, like if you want to pay for something at a store, can you stick the card into the chip reader and it automatically spends the crypro in your wallet or is it just for show and you cant spend it like a credit or debit card?
I was wondering about that myself when I saw the card. But I don’t think so. I think that Chip is just the charging lead that has to be in the charger.
I'll pass. Literally every device right now coming out with micro USB is going to be upgraded to type C. Its basically shipping with some form of previous gen hardware
The main weakness I see is their lack of support for certain cryptos like Solana. But this can be fixed with updates, so it’s not a dealbreaker for me.
I wish you and others would spell out why sending a small amount is misleading. If a hacker gets into your transaction, they take the whole amount in the wallet. I know from Experience. It is misleading to say send a small amount without also telling them that a hacker will take everything. It is misleading to think that you are safe sending a small amount. Please inform your guest.
I don’t mean to be disrespectful, but a hacker cannot take everything in your wallet when you send a small amount. I don’t know what kind of experience you’ve had, but you most likely exposed your private key in some way or form. There’s no way for a hacker to “get into your transaction.” Cryptocurrency uses advanced cryptography for securing wallets. Sending a transaction does not expose your wallet. I’ve been using cryptocurrency wallets since 2013 and I have never once lost any crypto by simply “sending a small amount”

The digital screen and function buttons solved my biggest hangup with the card devices.
Woo Hoo! 😂So much for Trezor and Ledger.
I could mention a few hardware wallets which are superior to Ledger & Trezor however I won't promote anything
Great video, thank you for your hardworking!
Great review as always Rex! It’s kinda cool but am still going to wait till I get the STAX

Is it water resistant? Firmware can be updated?
Thank you Sir.
I`m planning to get this for my backup device as I`m only using a Ledger now. Do you know how it handles staking on Cardano / ETH and Others?
Once again, great video/well explained. Maybe later you can make video of your likes and dislikes. I currently have a Ledger Nano X.

how to access the hidden wallet that use 25th passphrase?

@@CryptoDad Oh okay, by any chance have you tried at all to use it like a credit by inserting the chip or no?
Yes, they stated on their twitter the card could be used like a debit/credit card to make purchases.
Personally, all the merchant has to do is accept crypto and your good to use the card as a form of payment.
Help! I can't get it to Bluetooth
No passphrase support

Their app has bad review 🤔
