- Taylor Knibb is one of the chosen ones.
Mid/long course triathlon had traditionally seen star athletes blossom in their late 20s and beyond, but in 2021 a 23 year old Taylor Knibb burst onto the scene when she faced Daniela Ryf, considered by many the greatest of all time, at the inaugural Collins Cup. Her performance almost defied belief as she demolished her high profiled opponent by more than 16 minutes.
It seemed the future of women's triathlon had arrived. However, injuries plagued Knibb's following year and when she took on Ashleigh Gentle, a new star who had transitioned from short course at the start of the year and won everything, at the 2022 PTO US Open, things were not 100% right.
Fast forward to the rematch at Milwaukee in 2023. Could Knibb, now the reigning 70.3 World Champion, avenge defeat against Gentle on home soil and even up a rivalry that looks set to dominate the very top of women's triathlon for years to come?
'Beyond Human: The Series' will follow the world's greatest triathletes as they compete in the biggest and hardest races the triathlon race schedule has to offer. Get to know their unique personalities as they pursue glory across the globe, whilst facing all the challenges that the life of a professional athlete throws their way.
This is not just an evolution of a sport. This is the evolution of human ability.

Who is excited for the Taylor Knibb-Ashleigh Gentle rivalry to continue in 2024? 🙌
The PTO team are just storytelling masters
PTO 10/10 yet again. Keep it up please
PTO is immeasurably better than IM for pro coverage.
IM seems to be leaning into the narrative of age groupers, particularly the stories of those overcoming odds.
This woman is a cut above. Best of the elite endurance athletes the worlds ever seen.
Maravillosa triatleta Taylor👌👌👌👌✊✊✊💪💪💪
She’s still has the youthfulness of a child. With the talent of a Prodigy. The women’s race for the next few years are for 2nd place
She is getting better and better. Wonderful to watch
being great is one thing, being great over a long period of time is what seperates legends from the rest. i wish taylor all the best and im looking forward to see more incredible stuff from her.
the most exciting female triathlete on the planet period.
Can't wait to see her race in Kona!
Wait till she does Ironman !
Future GOAT, book it
Triathlete princess 👸🏼
what zip up hoodie is she wearing during the interview? The zipper is so cool!
Taylor Knibb as a triathlete is very strong and makes me laugh when he talks because he sounds like a cartoon. However I follow the triathlon for her, go Taylor! Ciao...
PTO is way ahead to IM when it comes to production. IM is a just a name waiting to fade.
Watching this reminds me how poorly you guys did crowd control in Dallas, it was incredibly hard to spectate the run as you wouldn't let people move around the course. You guys had a horrible broadcast in Milwaukee, you needed to talk more about Knibb and less about Gentle.
