    This is a wonderful arrangement, and the harmonies are gorgeous, in addition to all of the little solo moments. So delightful!

    The Oak Ridge Boys originally released this song in 1981 and did this version with Home Free in 2015. If you noticed at the end, it was an "Oak Ridge Boys" t-shirt they were autographing.

    I am so glad you reacted to this collaboration between Home Free & The Oakridge Boys. "Elvira" was a huge hit for The Oakridge Boys in 1981. You can see the great respect these 2 groups have for each other. The Oakridge Boys are mentors to Home Free & it is like they are passing the baton to a younger version of themselves. They have performed together on the Grand Ole Opry. Adam Rupp's vocal percussion is the best in the business. He can simulate drums & any other sounds perfectly. Home Free is my favorite a cappella group. They are so talented yet very humble guys.

    Tidbit: The Oaks 'contacted them' to Collab! Cool, eh?!! They saw the guys perform on a morning show and were impressed. They said the guys remind them of themselves in the early days. Love that! And of course, the guys always looked up to them, so were very honored and downright giddy to work with them.

    Home Free was the front group for The Oaks about 6 or 7 years ago, which is when they recorded this...2015 I believe. This was a huge hit for the Oaks and crossed over to the pop charts and was a top 10 hit. Later today Home Free is premiering Listen to the Music, a cover of the 1970's Doobie Brothers classic. I've heard it and it's amazing

      It is amazing. And Austin dropped 2 videos right after the group's, one under his own name (Georgia On My Mind), and one under the Beauty and the Bass banner with his lady Amberly. That one's not music related at all but a lot of fun to watch.

      @denise_landry 2 года назад +2

      I was hoping it was Black Water because I love that song and, in my opinion, they would slay that vocally. I bet the arrangement on that would be crazy too. Maybe in the future? 🤷‍♀️

    Home Free has sung with so many legends of music - The Oak Ridge Boys, Kenny Rogers, Lee Greenwood and Don McLean and Charlie Daniels (and I may have missed some). They are so talented that I don't think there's anyone that they couldn't harmonize with. If you haven't seen their video "I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For" with Peter Hollens, I think you'd like it.

    Tim can bring the low notes can’t he?!!! They had so much fun. It was a great collaboration and Home Free does that song a lot in concerts and Tim gets the audience to participate and then he blows the speakers! Well not anymore. Hahaha. Good reaction Rob!😍

    Legends and legends in the making. I love the level of respect Home Free has for the Oak Ridge Boys and vice versa. The Oak Ridge Boys still sound awesome and Home Free crushed this. The layers of harmony were epic and having 2 bass was cool. Adam's beat boxing/vocal percussion was amazing. Great collaboration. Thanks for the great reaction.

    Great reaction as usual. You should check out American Pie. Home Free teams up with the man himself, Don McLean. It was the 50th anniversary for the song and Don's manager thought a remake with Home Free was a great idea and once Don heard them he agreed. The song and video won 3 Telly awards. Please check it out, i would love to see what you think. And the just released Cover of Doobie Brothers "Listen To The Music" is one of the best they have ever done. You should react to that one also!

    Keep in mind that The Oak Ridge Boys are in their 70s in this video. This is one of their original songs back from many many years ago, and you should really listen to the song from that time when they were in their prime. It's almost like home free got together with their fathers and are we making this song. If you look at all of them together they sound alike, they look alike, they're the same heights. It is literally like they're singing with their own fathers. It is just so bizarre.

    If you do reactions to Christmas songs, there's a Jeffery East/Oak Ridge Boys/Home Free performance of "Beautiful Star of Bethlehem" that has a similar vibe and is, of course, excellent.

    They also did a song with Don McClain American pie. Kenny Rogers they did Lead the children, I'm not sure I got that title right. I think you would like, Walking this land. Also Ain't going down (till the sun comes up). For a good laugh, Guilty pleasures (it's Live), All about that bass, Good ol boy good time and Hillbilly bone
